장재수 홍림수산냉동(주) 회장(85)이 부경대학교에 발전기금 1억 원을 기부했다.

장 회장은 3일 오전 대학본부 장영수 총장실을 찾아 대학 발전을 위해 써 달라며 1억 원을 전달했다.

장 회장은 수산 물류 현대화에 기여해오며 지난 2005년 해양수산부장관상을 받는 등 우리나라 수산경영 분야 발전을 이끈 1세대 수산경영인이다.

장 회장은 “수산 분야 교육과 연구의 요람인 부경대의 발전에 보탬이 되면 좋겠다"면서 "앞으로도 부경대의 발전을 위해 계속 관심을 가지고 지원하도록 힘쓰겠다.”라고 밝혔다.

부경대는 이번 발전기금을 우수 인재 양성, 연구 지원, 대학시설 개선 등 대학 발전을 위해 사용할 계획이다.
