The city of Busan announced 'special measures to strengthen quarantine during the year-end and New Year' and announced that reservations and admission for more than 5 people at the restaurant will be prohibited from the 24th.

Busan Mayor Byeon Seong-wan said at a press conference on the 23rd that "20 confirmed cases have occurred in the last 3 days, and they seem to be somewhat calm, but 50 confirmed cases have been added from yesterday afternoon to today, and tension cannot be released." As such, special measures were announced.

First of all, 5 ice rinks in the city area, including the Buk-gu ice rink and Nam-gu ice rink, which are expected to increase rapidly in winter, are also prohibited from gathering during the same period. Special inspection teams will be organized at movie theaters and performance halls to intensively check whether the quarantine rules are observed.
  .

In order to prevent the concentration of sunset and sunrise places during the year-end and New Year's holidays, seven beaches in the city area, including the Hoan Road and nearby parks, will be closed from 12:00 on the 31st to 09:00 on January 1 of the New Year.

In addition, public parking around the beach is also closed during that time. Restaurants and cafes are also packaged from 9:00 p.m. on the 31st to 9:00 a.m. on January 1 of the New Year, and the operating time limit will be extended to allow delivery only.

Major tourist attractions in Busan, which are concerned about crowding of visitors during the year-end and New Year holidays, will also be closed during the same period. 36 tourist facilities with access control will be closed, and quarantine management personnel will be assigned to the remaining 22 major tourist sites to manage the concentration of tourists on site.

Accommodation limits reservations to within 50% of rooms. Guests who exceed the capacity of the room are not allowed to stay, and parties hosted by individuals are prohibited.

As announced by the government on the 22nd, the ban on meetings of more than 5 people at restaurants, such as reservations for more than 5 people and prohibition of accompany admission, is applied across the country from 0 o'clock tomorrow to 24 o'clock on January 3 of next year.

The quarantine management of high-risk facilities, such as nursing hospitals and religious facilities, where group infections have occurred in recent years will also be strengthened. "As it can be seen from the addition of 19 confirmed patients in nursing hospitals, which are still in cohort quarantine today, it is very difficult for nursing hospitals to control the spread of infections," said Acting Byeon. It is said that the preemptive inspection of workers will be conducted once a week, reinforcing the government guidelines (once every other week in the non-metropolitan area).

In addition, only regular non-face-to-face worship is allowed in religious facilities according to the existing 2.5-step distance distancing guidelines. The city plans to thoroughly check whether the quarantine rules are observed before and after Christmas and during the year-end and New Year's holidays, and if the quarantine measures are not met, the city plans to implement a collective ban.

"There are three temporary screening inspection centers in operation as of today," said Acting Authority Byeon. "Anyone can get an examination for free regardless of symptoms, and self-isolation is not required, so please actively take the examination."

Then, "The hard work of medical staff and quarantine personnel "Please remember the sacrifices of the small business owners once more," he repeatedly asked. "Staying at home during the year-end and New Year's holidays is the only way to quickly alleviate their troubles and troubles."
