바로 임팩트 BBDO(Impact BBDO)가 출품한 안나하르 신문(An Nahar Newspaper)의 광고 ‘선거 호(The Elections Edition)’다.

The works of 1745 films (1582 experts, 163 general public) that have advanced to the 2022 Busan International Advertising Festival have been released.

The Busan Advertising Festival closed the submission of entries for this year on June 15th and conducted a rigorous evaluation with 301 preliminary judges from 85 countries for about a month.

The most notable aspect of this year's finals is the strength of non-Asian countries. In the meantime, the Busan International Advertising Festival has mainly exhibited and won awards in Asia compared to other advertising festivals centered on Western advertising.

Looking at the flow of finalists by country for the past five years, the non-Asian countries that entered the top 10 accounted for only the late 10% of the total finalists, but this year it exceeded 30%.

Another feature is propaganda in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The United Arab Emirates won the title of the most advanced countries in the finals with 176 films in the professional advertising category. As can be seen from the results of this year's finals, the United Arab Emirates is currently raising its status in the global advertising industry. The most finalists also came from the United Arab Emirates. This is the advertisement 'The Elections Edition' of An Nahar Newspaper submitted by Impact BBDO. The advertisement advanced to the finals in a total of 16 categories, raising expectations for the award.

This change seems to have come from the hosting of the Dubai Expo. Jason Velasquez Burayag, a preliminary judge for this year's Busan International Advertising Festival and Creative Director of M&C Saatchi UAE, said, “Expo 2020 Dubai is an inspirational platform for advertising and creative professionals, as well as citizens of the UAE. It contributed to a significant part, such as becoming a source. and he said, “Advertisement of citizenship and economic growth following the expo have led advertisers to accept more creative advertisements.”

It was followed by Australia (144 flights), Japan (135 flights) and India (107 flights). Korea, with 90 flights to the finals, tied for 7th with New Zealand.

Among Korean advertising companies, 17 companies including INNOCEAN, Deminus One, Cheil Worldwide, Innored Idiot, and HS AD made it to the finals.

In addition, the agency network that produced the most finalists was WPP, with 303 works advanced to the finals, and Omnicom ranked next with 244 works.

On the other hand, the works selected as this year's finalists will be judged three times until the 24th of next month to determine the Grand Prix and Gold, Silver, and Bronze awards for each category.

In particular, among the Grand Prix winners in the product service and public service advertising categories, the best work in each category will be awarded the grand prix of the year and a cash prize of $10,000 each. The list of finalists can be found on the Busan International Advertising Festival website.

The Busan International Advertising Festival, which runs from the 25th to the 27th of next month, will be held at BEXCO in Haeundae-gu and online. The finalist's works will also be exhibited and screened and will be open to the public. For detailed event schedule and inquiries, please refer to the website.
