[브레이크뉴스=김선옥 기자] 유럽의 영화인들이 유럽영화진흥기구(European Film Promotion)와 함께 올해 부산국제영화제에서 신작을 공개한다.

유럽 37개국의 영화 프로모션을 위한 통합기구인 'EUROPE! GOES BUSAN' 대표단 EFP는 올해 26명의 유럽영화인들과 함께 3년 만에 참석해 작품을 선보인다. 올해 EFP 대표단에는 거장 및 신인 감독들도 다수 포함되어 있다. 올해 ‘EUROPE! GOES BUSAN’ 대표단이 선보이는 26편의 작품 가운데, 다섯 명의 신인감독 작품이 플래시 포워드 섹션에서 경쟁한다.

이번 대표단의 프랑스 감독 알랭 기로디는 다음 달 10일 마스터 클래스 ‘알랭 기로디- 창의적이고 희귀한 시네아스트의 낯선 세계’를 진행한다. 아울러, 플랫폼부산(Platform BUSAN)에서는 아시아의 젊은 영화인들과 유럽 대표단을 연결해 ‘근본적인 글로벌 변화 시대 속 영화 제작‘에 대한 의견을 나눌 예정이다.

또, 유럽 및 아시아 각국의 프로듀서가 아시아콘텐츠&필름마켓(Asian Contents & Film Market)의 산업 및 네트워킹 프로그램에도 참여한다. 이번 프로그램은 총 5명의 유럽 프로듀서가 참석해 아시아프로젝트마켓(Asian Project Market, 이하 APM)과 유럽영화 프로듀서 교육 프로그램인 ‘EAVE: TIES THAT BIND’ EFP까지 협업할 예정이다.

EFP의 매니징 디렉터 소냐 하이넨(Sonja Heinen)은 “부산국제영화제와의 오랜 파트너십으로 인해, 유럽영화의 인재를 알리고 유럽과 아시아 영화인들 간의 교류를 촉진하게 되어 기쁘고 자랑스럽다"라고 전했다.

BIFF 허문영 집행위원장은 "부산에 오는 유럽영화와 영화인들 덕분에 문화적 경험이 풍부해진다"라며 아시아와 유럽 간의 적극적인 협업과 교두보 역할을 하는 EFP와 부산국제영화제의 노력이 앞으로도 이어질 것으로 기대했다
