[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 부산시교육청은 30일 오후 굿네이버스 부산울산경남본부로부터 교육기부금 2억 1백 30만 원을 전달받았다.

굿네이버스는 세계시민 양성을 위해 지난 2009년부터 정부, 지자체와 협력해 이 행사를 매년 운영하고 있다. 올해는 5월 31일까지 전국 4천 400개 기관, 230만여 명이 참여할 예정이다.

이 대회는 교육부, 외교부, 문화체육관광부, 보건복지부, 고용노동부, 여성가족부, 국가인권위원회, 17개 시.도교육청 등이 후원하고 굿네이버스가 주최하는 행사다.

이번 기부금은 결식아동 지원, 취약계층 아동 꿈 지원, 빈곤가정 아동 지원 등 사업의 재원으로 쓰일 예정이다.

이날 전달식에는 ‘제15회 희망편지쓰기대회’ 행사도 함께 열려, 하윤수 교육감은 탄자니아의 유니스(8세) 학생에게 부산지역의 1호 편지를 썼다.

하윤수 교육감은 “매년 도움이 필요한 학생들을 지원해 주는 굿네이버스에 감사드린다”며 “우리 교육청도 학생들이 어려운 이웃을 돌아볼 줄 아는 따뜻한 인성을 가진 인재로 성장할 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 전했다.
