[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 부산시는 명지국제신도시에 영국의 명문 '웰링턴칼리지의 인터내셔널 부산 캠퍼스' 설립을 위한 구체적인 논의와 행정절차를 본격 추진할 계획이다.

 

시는 영국 웰링턴칼리지, 부산진해경제자유구역청과 '웰링턴칼리지 인터내셔널 부산 캠퍼스' 설립을 위한 업무협약'을 22일 체결했다.

 

이날 오후 시청 영상회의실에서 진행된 업무협약식에는 박형준 시장과 웰링턴칼리지 임원진, 김기영 부산진해경제자유구역청장(경자청)이 직접 참석해 협약서에 서명했다. 협약식에 참석한 웰링턴칼리지 임원진은 펠리시티 컬크(Felicity Kirk) 선임이사, 나이마 챨리에르(Naima Charlier) 선임이사, 에드윈 웨이(Edwin Wai) 재무이사 등이다.

 

이날 업무협약 체결로, '웰링턴칼리지 인터내셔널 부산 캠퍼스' 설립을 위해 ▲시와 경자청은 인·허가 등 행정적 지원을 ▲웰링턴칼리지는 본교 수준의 교육 시스템·서비스의 국내 도입, 본교 졸업과 동등한 인증발행 등을 약속했다.
