[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 유니세프와 함께하는 2024 부산국제아트페어(BIAF)가 국내외 작가 250여 명이 참여해, 3,000점을 출품, 오는 5~8일까지 벡스코 제2전시장에서 개최된다.

부산아트페어는 국내외 현대 미술작가와 소비자가 직접 대면하여 거래하는 직거래 미술 시장이다. 올해는 인도TVS 그룹과 현대자동차가 후원사로 참여해 양국 간 문화예술 교류의 새로운 장을 열 예정이다. 

K-ART 국제교류협회는 인도의 저명한 미술사학자 아샤프 박사가 큐레이션을 맡아 인도 작가 25인을 소개하는  특별전을 마련해 인도 현대미술의 다양성을 볼 수 있는 기회를 제공한다.

올해는 국내에서 처음으로 그림과 한복을 결합한 이색 아트패션쇼를 선보인다. 개막일 5일 오후 3시 벡스코 제2 전시장 중앙무대에서 조선시대 전통의상을 현대적으로 재해석한 이원호 디자이너의 작품이 공개된다.

이번 아트패션쇼에는 전통의상을 입은 모델들이 부산국제아트페어에 출품한 작가의 작품 33점을 들고 작품을 소개할 예정이다. 이어 오후5시 개막식이 진행된다.

허숙 케이아트(K-ART) 국제교류협회 이사장은 "이번 아트패션쇼는 전통과 현대, 예술과 패션이 만나 새로운 영감을 선사하고자 준비한 특별한 무대"라며"이번 아트페어에서 예술을 통해 더 넓은 소통과 교류의 장이 만들어지기를 바란다"고 기대했다.

부대행사로는 '도발적이면서 발칙한 수다'라는 제목으로 지난해 신진 우수작가 2인과 함께하는 '작가와의 대화'인 '토크쇼'와 신진 작가를 포함한 참가 작가 '도슨트 투어'가 진행된다.

특히, 작년 대비 40%가 늘어난 신진 작가 50명의 다채로운 작품을 전시한다. 포트폴리오 심사 및 실물 작품 심사를 거쳐 최종 선발된 50명의 신진 작가와 역대 부산아트페어 우수 신진 작가 5인에게 개인 부스를 무상으로 제공한다.

BIAF는 미술인과 미술 애호가는 물론, 유니세프를 통하여 세계 어린이들까지 모두 함께하는 축제의 장으로, 수익금을 유니세프에 기부하고 국내외 미술학도를 지원하는 등 사회 공익 활동을 지속하고 있다.

The 50 new artists who were finally selected through portfolio and actual work evaluation and the five excellent new artists from previous Busan Art Fairs will be provided with individual booths free of charge.

BIAF is a festival where artists, art lovers, and even children around the world can all participate through UNICEF. It donates its proceeds to UNICEF and continues social welfare activities such as supporting art students at home and abroad.
