브레이크뉴스 박동제 기자= 미국 힙합계의 거물이자 팝스타 비욘세의 남편인 제이지(숀 카터)가 미성년자 성폭행 혐의로 피소됐다.

8일(현지시간) 뉴욕타임스, CNN, NBC 등 외신에 따르면, 제이지는 지난 2000년 ‘힙합 대부’ 래퍼 퍼프 대디(숀 디디 콤스)와 함께 13세 소녀를 강간한 혐의로 민사 소송을 당했다. 

이 사건의 피해자는 지난 10월 퍼프 대디를 상대로 소송을 제기했고, 이번에 제이지를 새로운 피고인으로 추가해 다시 소장을 제출한 것으로 전해졌다.

피해자는 자신이 13세였던 2000년, 미국 뉴욕에서 열린 ‘MTV 비디오 뮤직 어워즈’ 이후 진행된 애프터 파티에서 이들에게 성폭행을 당했다고 주장하고 있다. 

제이지는 미성년자 성폭행 관련, 성명을 발표하며 혐의를 부인했다. 그는 “이런 혐의는 너무도 끔찍하다. 민사 소송이 아닌 형사 소송을 제기하라”며 “미성년자를 상대로 그러한 범죄를 저지른 사람은 누구든 가둬야 한다”며고 밝혔다.

한편, 제이지는 비욘세와 2008년 결혼했고, 2013년 얻은 첫 딸 블루 아이비 카터 등 세 자녀를 뒀다.
