이어 "저는 조기 퇴진을 하루라도 빨리 했으면 좋겠다는 그런 취지인데, 그게 안 된다면 하루라도 빨리 직무 정지를 시키는 것이 옳다고 본다"라며 "탄핵이 가결이 될지 안 될지는 모르겠지만, 국민의힘이 더 많은 분들이 반드시 탄핵 가결에 동참해 주시기를 바란다"라고 전했다.
