[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 부산국제록페스티벌이 문화체육관광부 주관 '2024 최우수 문화관광축제'로 선정돼 장관상을 받았다.

부산록페스티벌은 지난해 처음으로 예비 문화관광축제에 선정됐으며, 우수한 콘텐츠와 지역 경제에 미치는 파급력 등에 있어 우수한 평가를 받았다.

페스티벌은 2022년부터 대한민국 대표 음악 축제로 고속 성장해 온 ‘부산국제록페스티벌’은 지난해 행사 기간을 기존 2일에서 3일로 확대해 6만여 명의 역대 최대 관람객을 유치했다. 

자연과 어우러진 광활한 삼락생태공원에서 국내외 78개 팀의 유명 아티스트가 공연을 펼치고 다른 지역 관람객이 79퍼센트(%)에 달하는 대한민국의 대표 축제로 자리매김하고 있다.

특히 최정상급 대표 출연자를 비롯한 다채로운 라인업 구성과 국내 최대 규모의 무대 규모로, 젊은 층 관람객들의 기대와 열정을 충족시켰다는 반응이 대다수였다.

지난해에는 처음으로 ‘로드투부락(Road to BU-ROCK)’이라는 사전 행사를 서울, 부산, 대구에서 개최해 전국적으로 큰 사랑을 받았다. 아울러, 본 행사에서는 사상구 지역 주민들이 축제 안내요원으로 참여하고 직접 ‘푸드부스’를 운영하는 등, 주민과 함께하는 지역 상생 축제의 기반을 다졌다.
