[브레이크뉴스 배종태 기자]  부산 해운대에서 50대 여성이 말다툼 끝에 80대 친모를 폭행해 숨지게 한 사건이 발생해 경찰이 수사에 나섰다.

해운대경찰서는 7일 새벽, 해운대구 한 아파트에서 80대 어머니를 폭행해 사망에 이르게 한 혐의(존속살해)로 50대 여성 A씨를 긴급 체포해 조사하고 있다고 밝혔다.

경찰에 따르면, A씨는 이날 새벽 어머니와 말다툼을 벌이던 중 폭행을 가했고, 같은 날 오전 9시 19분께 주거 아파트에서 80대 여성 B씨가 피를 흘린 채 쓰러져 있는 것을 B씨의 간병인이 발견해 신고했다. B씨는 인근 병원으로 옮겨졌지만 숨졌다고 전해졌다.

신고를 받고 출동한 경찰은 아파트 내 CCTV를 통해 범행 직후 현장을 빠져나오는 A씨의 모습을 확인하고, 곧바로 A씨의 주거지에서 검거했다.

경찰 관계자는 “A씨가 어머니와의 말다툼 과정에서 우발적으로 범행한 것으로 보고 있으나, 정확한 범행 경위와 수법, 구체적 동기를 수사 중”이라며 “A씨에 대한 추가 조사 후 구속영장을 신청할 방침”이라고 전했다.
