[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 올해로 13회를 맞은 ‘부산국제코미디페스티벌(BICF)’이 오는 29일(금)부터 9월 7일(일)까지 부산 전역에서 열린다. 해마다 진화를 거듭하며 아시아 최대 규모의 코미디 축제로 자리매김한 ‘부코페’는 올해 역시 새로운 기획과 확장된 프로그램을 통해 관객들과의 만남을 준비하고 있다.

 

벡스코 오디토리움에서 펼쳐지는 대형 개막공연…박명수 MC, 화려한 라인업 눈길

올해 개막공연은 처음으로 실내 대형 공연장에서 진행되며, 규모와 구성 면에서 전보다 한층 업그레이드된다. 오는 29일 오후 7시, 부산 벡스코 오디토리움에서 열리는 이번 개막식에는 국내외 정상급 코미디언들이 대거 출연해 블루카펫을 밟으며 관객과 소통한다. 메인 MC는 방송인 박명수가 맡아 축제의 시작을 알리며 특유의 입담으로 분위기를 이끌 예정이다.

Despite the language difference, last year’s show proved that physical humor, timing, and global comedy sensibilities can transcend linguistic barriers. The 2024 roadshow is expected to deliver another round of fresh, accessible comedy for people of all ages and backgrounds.

 

Introducing the “Fringe Program” – Open Stage for All, Expanding the Festival’s Creative Spectrum

For the first time, the BICF introduces a Fringe Program, titled “Self-Participation Works,” to diversify the festival lineup and promote creative experimentation. A nationwide open call was held in April, inviting amateur performers and independent artists to apply.

 

The selected teams will perform on the streets during the festival period. There are no limits to the types of performances allowed, as long as they are rooted in comedy. Joined by fellow comedian-authors, Jeon will engage in a candid discussion on stage, sharing stories behind their books and offering insights into the art and philosophy of comedy. This unique fusion of humor and literature provides both thoughtful dialogue and heartfelt moments. After the talk, a signing session will give fans a chance to meet the authors up close and collect personalized autographs.
