[브레이크뉴스=김선옥 기자] 제30회 부산국제영화제가 '올해의 배우상' 심사위원으로 배우 이정은과 유태오를 선정했다.

이 상은 한국 독립영화 속 신예 배우를 발굴하고 조명하기 위해 마련된 부문으로, 올해 수상자에게는 각각 500만 원의 상금이 주어질 예정이다.

제30회를 맞은 부산국제영화제가 '올해의 배우상' 심사위원으로 배우 이정은과 유태오를 위촉했다. '올해의 배우상'은 2014년 신설된 상으로, 한국 장편 독립영화 중 비전(Vision) 부문에 출품된 작품들을 대상으로 뛰어난 연기를 선보인 신인 남녀 배우 각 1인을 선정해 수여한다.

배우 이정은은 드라마 '미스터 선샤인', '눈이 부시게', '동백꽃 필 무렵' 등에서 인상 깊은 연기를 선보였으며, 영화 '기생충'에서 문광 역으로 제40회 청룡영화상 등 주요 시상식에서 여우조연상을 수상했다. 연극과 뮤지컬 무대에서부터 시작해 '옥자', '자산어보', '내가 죽던 날', '소년심판', '좀비딸'(2025) 등 다양한 장르에서 폭넓은 연기 활동을 이어가고 있다.

함께 심사를 맡은 배우 유태오는 칸국제영화제 경쟁부문 초청작 '레토'(2018)를 통해 국제적으로 이름을 알린 이후, 영화 '버티고', 드라마 '머니게임', '보건교사 안은영', '더 리크루트 시즌 2'(2025) 등 국내외에서 활발한 활동을 이어왔다. '로그 인 벨지움'(2021)에서는 감독으로도 참여했으며, '패스트 라이브즈'(2023)에서의 연기로 2024년 영국 아카데미 시상식(BAFTA) 남우주연상 후보에 오르며 한국 배우 최초의 기록을 세웠다.

'올해의 배우상' 수상자에게는 각 500만 원의 상금이 수여되며, 시상은 부산국제영화제 '비전의 밤' 행사에서 이정은과 유태오가 직접 진행할 예정이다.

제30회 부산국제영화제는 오는 9월 17일(수)부터 26일(금)까지 부산 영화의전당 일대에서 열흘간 개최된다.

Established in 2014, the award aims to spotlight emerging actors who deliver exceptional performances in Korean independent feature films submitted under the 'Korean Cinema Today - Vision' section. One male and one female actor will be selected to receive the honor.

Lee Jeong-eun has left a lasting impression through her nuanced performances in dramas such as 'Mr. Sunshine', 'The Light in Your Eyes', and 'When the Camellia Blooms'. She gained widespread acclaim for her role as Moon-gwang in the Oscar-winning film 'Parasite', earning Best Supporting Actress honors at major Korean film awards, including the Blue Dragon Film Awards. With a foundation in theater and musicals, Lee has built a diverse filmography across genres, including 'Okja', 'The Book of Fish', 'The Day I Died: Unclosed Case', 'Juvenile Justice', and the upcoming 'Zombie Daughter' (2025), showcasing her broad acting range and sustained career momentum.

Teo Yoo gained international recognition with his role in the Cannes competition film 'Leto' (2018), and has since worked actively across both Korean and international projects, including the film 'Vertigo', and dramas such as 'Money Game', 'The School Nurse Files', and 'The Recruit Season 2' (2025). He also directed the documentary 'Log in Belgium' (2021). In 'Past Lives' (2023), his deeply introspective performance as Hae-sung earned critical acclaim and led to a historic nomination for Best Leading Actor at the 2024 BAFTA Awards—the first for a Korean actor.

The 'Actor of the Year' winners will each receive a cash prize of 5 million KRW, and the awards will be presented in person by Lee Jeong-eun and Teo Yoo at BIFF’s 'Night of Vision' event.

The 30th Busan International Film Festival will be held from Wednesday, September 17 to Friday, September 26 at the Busan Cinema Center and surrounding venues.
