[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 부산시는 2일 밤 국회 본회의에서 2026년도 정부 예산안이 최종 의결됨에 따라 역대 최대 규모인 10조 2,184억 원의 국비를 확보했다고 3일 밝혔다. 이는 지난해 9조 6,363억 원 대비 5,821억 원(6.0%) 증가한 규모로, 글로벌 허브 도시 도약과 시민 삶의 질 향상을 위한 핵심 재원을 마련했다.

 

박형준 시장은 이날 오후 브리핑룸에서 가진 기자회견에서 이번 성과를 강조하며 “부산이 국비 10조 원 시대를 활짝 열었다. 내년도 국비 10조 2,184억 원은 사상 최대 규모다. 글로벌 경기 둔화와 재정 여건 악화 속에서도 중앙정부와 국회가 부산의 잠재력과 미래 가치를 인정했다”고 말했다.

 

환경·안전 분야 숙원사업 반영

박 시장은 시민 숙원 사업을 조목조목 설명했다. “30년 넘게 이어진 낙동강 유역 먹는물 공급체계 구축사업이 본궤도에 오른다. 설계비 19억 2천만 원이 반영되어 맑은 물 공급을 위한 첫 삽을 뜬다. 시장으로서 반드시 해결하겠다고 약속한 물 문제는 확실히 매듭짓는다”고 밝혔다.

 

이어 “금정산 국립공원 관리운영비 34억 원을 신규 확보해 부산의 허파를 체계적으로 보전한다. 학장·감전2지구 자연재해위험지 정비(27억 5천만 원), 동래·수민 하수도정비(19억 원), 동천·부전천 비점오염 저감(75억 원), 낙동강 하굿둑 상류 대저수문 개선(50억 원) 등도 대거 반영되어 재난 안전망을 촘촘히 구축한다”고 덧붙였다.

 

첨단산업 미래 먹거리 선점

첨단산업 분야 성과를 강조하며 박 시장은 “부산의 미래 먹거리를 확실히 심었다. 첨단 재생의료 임상 실증지원 플랫폼(7.66억 원), 난치성 질환 진단·치료용 방사선 원료의약품 개발(30억 원)을 신규 반영해 바이오 메카로 도약한다”고 설명했다.

 

또 “자율주행 기반 스마트항만 모빌리티 허브(19.6억 원), 조선 AX 특화 AI 모델하우스(20억 원), 극한·극지산업용 화합물 반도체 인프라(20억 원), SiC 전력반도체 기판 분석지원센터(20억 원) 등 디지털·반도체 사업이 새로 반영되어 전통 산업을 고부가가치로 전환한다. 이는 양질의 청년 일자리를 창출하는 마중물이다”라고 했다.

 

문화·관광 글로벌 경쟁력 강화

문화·체육·관광 분야에 대해서는 “글로벌 부산 디자인페어(6억 원), 아시아 콘텐츠&필름마켓 육성(6억 원), 부산 국제보트쇼(4.3억 원), 국제해양레저위크(5억 원), 해양모빌리티·안전엑스포(1.8억 원) 등 해양·콘텐츠 사업이 대거 포함되어 글로벌 해양관광 허브 경쟁력을 높인다”고 말했다.

 

박 시장은 “덕천동 야외수영장(10억 원)과 실내빙상장(4.15억 원)을 전면 개보수하고 범어사 사찰음식체험관(15억 원)을 건립해 시민 일상 활력과 웰니스 관광 콘텐츠를 키운다”고 강조했다.

정치권 원팀 플레이 성과

시는 지역 정치권과의 협력을 높이 평가했다. 박 시장은 “이번 성과는 부산 발전을 위한 원팀 플레이 덕분이다. 예결소위 김대식 의원, 예결특위 이성권 의원을 비롯한 18명 부산 지역 국회의원이 정부안 미포함 사업까지 끈질기게 설득해 추가 반영했다”고 감사 인사를 전했다

 

박형 시장은 “국비 10조 원 시대는 부산의 새로운 시작 신호탄이다. 예산을 한 푼도 허투루 쓰지 않고 시민 삶 개선과 미래 변화에 온전히 쏟는다. 다시 태어나도 살고 싶은 시민 행복 부산, 글로벌 허브 도시로 비상한다”고 의지를 밝혔다.

Mayor Park detailed citizens' long-awaited projects point by point. He said, "The Nakdong River Basin Drinking Water Supply System Project, a 30-year aspiration of Busan citizens, is now on track. Design costs of KRW 1.92 billion are reflected, enabling the first shovel for clean water supply. As mayor, I promised to resolve the water issue definitively, and it is now firmly addressed."

 

He added, "KRW 3.4 billion in new funding is secured for Geumjeongsan National Park operations, systematically preserving Busan's lungs. Major allocations include Hakjang-Gamjeon 2 District disaster prevention (KRW 2.75 billion), Dongnae-Sumin sewerage improvement (KRW 1.9 billion), Dongcheon-Bujeon Stream non-point pollution reduction (KRW 7.5 billion), and Nakdong River Haguduk upstream low-water gate upgrades (KRW 5 billion), densely building a disaster safety net."

 

Advanced Industries Secure Future Growth Engines

Highlighting advanced industry achievements, Mayor Park explained, "Busan's future growth engines are firmly planted. New funding for the Advanced Regenerative Medicine Clinical Demonstration Platform (KRW 766 million) and Radioisotope Production for Incurable Disease Diagnosis and Treatment (KRW 3 billion) positions the city as a bio-medical hub."

 

He continued, "Autonomous driving-based smart port mobility hub (KRW 1.96 billion), shipbuilding AX specialized AI model house (KRW 2 billion), extreme/polar industry compound semiconductor infrastructure (KRW 2 billion), and SiC high-efficiency power semiconductor substrate analysis center (KRW 2 billion) are newly included, transforming traditional industries into high-value ones. These serve as catalysts for quality youth jobs."

 

Culture and Tourism Boost Global Competitiveness

On culture, sports, and tourism, he said, "Global Busan Design Fair (KRW 600 million), Asia Content & Film Market promotion (KRW 600 million), Busan International Boat Show (KRW 430 million), Korea International Marine Leisure Week (KRW 500 million), and Marine Mobility & Safety Expo (KRW 180 million) are extensively covered, enhancing global marine tourism hub competitiveness."

 

Mayor Park emphasized, "Deokcheon-dong outdoor pool (KRW 1 billion) and indoor ice rink (KRW 415 million) undergo full renovations, while Beomeosa Temple Food Experience Center (KRW 1.5 billion) is built to boost daily vitality and Busan-unique wellness tourism content."

 

Political Collaboration Yields Results

The city highly evaluates cooperation with local politicians. Mayor Park expressed gratitude, saying, "This achievement stems from one-team play for Busan development. Rep. Kim Dae-sik (Budget Subcommittee) and Rep. Lee Seong-kwon (Budget Special Committee), along with 18 Busan lawmakers, persistently persuaded for inclusion of projects missing from the government draft."

 

In closing, he declared, "The KRW 10 trillion era signals Busan's new beginning. Not a single won is wasted; funds are fully devoted to tangible citizen life improvements and future transformation. We run relentlessly toward a Busan citizens want to live in again—a happy city and true global hub soaring higher."
