브레이크뉴스 박동제 기자= 배우 김재영이 영화 <범죄도시5>의 빌런으로 출연한다.

12일 김재영의 소속사 매니지먼트 S 측 관계자는 브레이크뉴스에 “김재영이 <범죄도시5>에 출연하는 게 맞다”고 밝혔다.

김재영은 윤계상, 손석구, 이준혁, 김무열을 잇는 <범죄도시> 시리즈 빌런 역을 맡아 새로운 변신을 선보일 예정이다.  

배우 마동석이 주연과 제작자로 참여한 <범죄도시>는 대한민국 대표 범죄 액션 시리즈다. 지난 2017년 개봉한 <범죄도시>는 688만명을 동원했고, 2편(2022년)은 1269만명을, 3편(2023년)은 1068만명을, 4편(2024년)은 1150만명을 기록했다. 특히 <범죄도시>는 한국 영화 최초로 트리플 천만 달성과 시리즈 누적 4천만명을 돌파한 작품이다.

이에 김재영이 오는 2027년 개봉 예정인 <범죄도시5>를 통해 선보일 빌런 캐릭터에 많은 기대가 모아지고 있다. 

한편, 김재영은 현재 지니 TV 오리지널 드라마 ‘아이돌아이’에 출연 중이다.

Kim Jae-young will follow in the footsteps of Yoon Kye-sang, Son Seok-gu, Lee Joon-hyuk, and Kim Moo-yeol as the villain in the 'The Outlaws' series, showcasing a new transformation.

'The Outlaws', starring and produced by actor Ma Dong-seok, is one of South Korea's leading crime action series. Released in 2017, "The Outlaws" attracted 6.88 million viewers. The second installment (2022) drew 12.69 million, the third installment (2023) 10.68 million, and the fourth installment (2024) 11.5 million. Notably, "The Outlaws" became the first Korean film to reach triple 10 million viewers and the series' cumulative total surpassed 40 million.

Therefore, much anticipation is building for Kim Jae-young's villainous character in "The Outlaws 5," scheduled for release in 2027.
