[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 국가유산청은 제48차 유네스코 세계유산위원회 개최를 맞아 오는 20일부터 29일까지 부산 벡스코 제1전시장에 '대한민국관(K-Heritage House)'을 운영한다.

 

대한민국관은 오는 20일부터 29일까지 정부기관과 종교계, 문화재단 등 45개 기관이 참여하는 특별전시와 38회의 전통공연, 다양한 체험 프로그램을 통해 우리 국가유산과 K-컬처의 가치를 국내외 관람객에게 선보일 예정이다.

 

정부기관 홍보관에서는 대한민국의 기록문화와 전통 식문화, 해양유산을 집중 소개한다. 행정안전부 국가기록원은 세계기록유산과 기록물을 통해 한국 기록문화의 우수성을 알리고, 해양수산부는 세계유산 '한국의 갯벌'과 K-시푸드를 주제로 한 전시를 마련한다. 농림축산식품부는 유네스코 인류무형유산인 '한국의 장 담그기 문화'와 K-푸드를 미디어 콘텐츠와 시식 체험으로 소개해 한국 미식문화의 매력을 전달한다.

한국 불교문화유산을 조명하는 특별 홍보관도 운영된다. 세계유산인 산사와 해인사, 통도사를 비롯해 국가무형유산인 영산재와 진관사 국행수륙재를 사진과 영상으로 소개하고, 전통 의례 공연을 함께 선보여 한국 불교문화의 예술성과 전통성을 알릴 예정이다.

 

한국국학진흥원은 '세계유산에 걸린 한국의 편액'을 주제로 유교문화와 기록유산을 소개하며, 관람객이 직접 편액을 제작하거나 캘리그래피를 체험할 수 있는 참여형 프로그램도 운영한다.

 

이번 세계유산위원회의 공식 협력기관인 저스피스재단도 홍보관을 마련한다. 재단 명예이사장이자 세계유산위원회 홍보대사인 가수 지드래곤(GD)과 함께 추진하는 사회공헌 활동과 세계유산기금 도시캠페인 '헤리티지 인 피스(Heritage in Peace)'를 소개하고, 방문객에게는 선착순으로 다과를 제공할 예정이다.

 

대한민국관 중앙에 조성되는 'K-헤리티지 스테이지'에서는 위원회 기간 동안 총 38회의 전통공연이 이어진다. 유네스코 인류무형유산인 처용무를 비롯해 북청사자놀음, 영산재와 수륙재 시연, 부산을 대표하는 동래학춤 등 우리 전통예술의 깊이와 아름다움을 선보인다. 20일 오후 4시에는 방송인 서경석이 진행하는 '이어지교 오픈클래스'가 열려 세계유산의 의미와 세계유산위원회의 역할을 쉽고 흥미롭게 소개한다. 공연은 모두 사전 예약 없이 현장에서 자유롭게 관람할 수 있다.

 

행사장에서는 궁궐문화를 재현한 프로그램도 상시 운영된다. 전통 복식을 갖춘 수문장의 근무 재현과 조선 왕실 행렬을 형상화한 '왕가의 산책'이 하루 두 차례씩 진행되며, 점심시간에는 수문장 캐릭터 인형 탈을 착용한 파수군이 관람객과 기념사진을 촬영하며 특별한 추억을 선사한다.

관람객 참여 행사도 다양하게 마련된다. 대한민국 세계유산을 주제로 한 헤리티지 타투 체험을 비롯해 대한민국관 방문 인증사진을 사회관계망서비스(SNS)에 게시한 뒤 현장 관계자에게 제시하면 '쿠키런 특별 기념엽서'를 받을 수 있는 이벤트도 진행된다.

국가유산청은 이번 대한민국관이 우리 국가유산의 역사와 문화, 미래 가치를 국내외 관람객에게 효과적으로 알리고, K-컬처의 뿌리인 전통문화의 매력을 직접 체험하는 대표 문화공간이 될 수 있도록 행사 운영에 만전을 기할 계획이라고 밝혔다.

[Here is the English version of the article] BEXCO's K-Heritage House to Showcase the Best of Korean Culture During UNESCO World Heritage Committee Session

 

The Korea Heritage Service will operate the K-Heritage House at Hall 1 of BEXCO from July 20 to 29 during the 48th Session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee, offering international visitors an immersive experience of Korea's cultural heritage through exhibitions, performances, and interactive programs.

 

The K-Heritage House will bring together 45 participating organizations, including government agencies, religious institutions, and cultural foundations, to present Korea's World Heritage, Intangible Cultural Heritage, and Documentary Heritage through a wide range of exhibitions and cultural activities.

 

Government exhibition halls will highlight Korea's rich documentary heritage, traditional cuisine, and marine heritage. The National Archives of Korea will showcase UNESCO Memory of the World collections and historical records, while the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries will introduce the Korean Tidal Flats, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, alongside K-Seafood. The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs will present the Culture of Jang Making in Korea, inscribed on UNESCO's Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, together with K-food through multimedia displays and tasting events.

 

Special exhibitions dedicated to Korea's Buddhist heritage will feature the Sansa, Buddhist Mountain Monasteries in Korea, Haeinsa Temple, Tongdosa Temple, Yeongsanjae, and Jingwansa Suryukjae. Through photographs, videos, and traditional ritual performances, visitors will have the opportunity to explore the artistic and spiritual significance of Korea's Buddhist traditions.

 

The Korean Studies Institute will present an exhibition titled "Korean Signboards in World Heritage Sites," introducing Korea's Confucian heritage and documentary heritage while offering hands-on experiences such as traditional signboard making and Korean calligraphy.

 

The JustPeace Foundation, one of the official partners of the World Heritage Committee, will also participate with a special exhibition highlighting its cultural and social contribution initiatives. The foundation will introduce the "Heritage in Peace" campaign and activities led by its honorary chair, global artist G-Dragon (GD), who also serves as an ambassador for this year's World Heritage Committee. Complimentary refreshments will be available for visitors on a first-come, first-served basis.

 

At the heart of the venue, the K-Heritage Stage will host 38 traditional performances throughout the event. Programs will include the UNESCO-listed Cheoyongmu (Dance of Cheoyong), Bukcheong Lion Mask Dance, demonstrations of Yeongsanjae and Suryukjae, and the Dongnae Hakchum (Crane Dance), one of Busan's representative traditional performing arts.

 

On July 20, television personality Seo Kyung-seok will host the "Open Class" program, offering an engaging introduction to the significance of World Heritage and the role of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee. All performances and stage events will be open to the public without advance reservations.

 

Visitors will also enjoy palace-inspired cultural experiences throughout the exhibition. Daily reenactments of royal palace gate guards and the "Royal Procession Walk" will recreate the atmosphere of Korea's Joseon Dynasty, while mascot-style royal guards will greet visitors during lunchtime and pose for commemorative photographs.

 

Additional interactive events include temporary heritage-themed tattoos featuring Korea's World Heritage sites and a social media campaign. Visitors who upload photos taken at the K-Heritage House to social media and present them at the information desk will receive a special CookieRun commemorative postcard while supplies last.

The Korea Heritage Service said the K-Heritage House has been designed to provide both Korean and international visitors with an engaging opportunity to experience the history, traditions, and contemporary value of Korea's cultural heritage while showcasing the cultural foundations of K-Culture on the global stage.
