[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 부산시는 3일 전재수 시장 주재로 ‘공공기관 이전추진TF’ 회의를 개최하고, 정부의 2차 공공기관 이전 계획에 선제적으로 대응하기 위한 전방위적 유치 전략을 집중 논의했다.

이날 오전 9시 30분 시청 영상회의실에서 열린 이번 회의는 금융, 해양, 첨단산업·연구개발(R&D), 영화·영상 등 부산의 4대 특화 기능군을 중심으로 핵심 정책 금융기관과 국책연구기관 등 총 40개 기관 유치를 목표로 각계의 역량을 결집하기 위해 마련됐다.

시는 이번 회의에서 금융 분야의 한국산업은행·IBK기업은행·한국수출입은행·한국무역보험공사, 해양 분야의 해양수산과학기술진흥원·한국해양교통안전공단·한국어촌어항공단·해양환경공단 등을 비롯해 첨단산업·연구개발(R&D) 및 영화·영상 분야에 이르는 미래 성장동력 핵심 기관들의 유치 당위성을 재확인했다.

아울러 시는 지난 2월 국토부에 중점 유치 대상 기관을 포함한 40개 기관의 이전을 요청한 이후, 선도 이전에 대비해 지역 내 공실 현황 파악 및 정주 여건 전반을 지속해서 점검해 온 사전 준비 상황을 점검했다. 이와 함께 국토부를 수차례 방문해 부산의 지역특화산업과 연계한 공공기관 이전을 적극 건의하는 등 대정부 활동 상황도 공유했다.

이날 회의에는 시의 관련 실·국장뿐만 아니라 부산시의회, 부산연구원, 부산경제정의실천연합 등 각계 전문가와 시민단체가 함께 참석해 외부의 다양한 목소리와 현장의 시각을 담아냈다. 참석자들은 실효성 있는 유치 전략과 협력 방안을 다각도로 모색하며 성공적인 2차 공공기관 부산 유치를 위해 힘을 모아 나가기로 뜻을 모았다.

전재수 시장은 “공공기관 유치는 부산이 해양수도로 도약하기 위한 핵심 과제”라며, “시의회와 시민단체, 전문가 등 지역사회의 모든 역량을 결집하고 수용 태세를 철저히 갖추어 반드시 성공적인 유치 성과를 끌어내겠다”라고 밝혔다.

Busan Metropolitan City announced on the 3rd that it held a meeting of the ‘Public Institution Relocation Promotion Task Force (TF)’ chaired by Mayor Jeon Jae-soo, where it discussed comprehensive strategies to proactively respond to the government’s second phase of public institution relocation plan.

The meeting, held at 9:30 a.m. in the city hall’s video conference room, was organized to bring together the city’s capabilities with the goal of attracting a total of 40 institutions, including major policy financial institutions and national research institutes, focusing on Busan’s four specialized functional areas: finance, maritime affairs, advanced industries and research & development (R&D), and film and visual content

During the meeting, the city reaffirmed the necessity of attracting key growth-driving institutions, including **the Korea Development Bank, Industrial Bank of Korea (IBK), Export-Import Bank of Korea, and Korea Trade Insurance Corporation** in the financial sector. In the maritime sector, the city highlighted institutions such as the Korea Institute of Marine Science & Technology Promotion, Korea Maritime Transportation Safety Authority, Korea Fisheries Infrastructure Public Agency, and Korea Marine Environment Management Corporation, along with key organizations related to advanced industries, R&D, and the film and visual content sectors.

Busan also reviewed its preparations following its request to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport in February for the relocation of 40 targeted institutions. The city has been continuously examining available office space and overall residential conditions in preparation for early relocation. It also shared its government-level efforts, including multiple visits to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport to actively propose relocating public institutions in connection with Busan’s region-specific industries.

The meeting was attended not only by relevant city officials but also by representatives from the Busan Metropolitan Council, the Busan Development Institute, the Busan branch of Citizens’ Coalition for Economic Justice, and other experts and civic groups. Participants discussed practical attraction strategies and cooperation measures from various perspectives, agreeing to join forces to successfully bring the second phase of public institution relocation to Busan.

Mayor Jeon Jae-soo said, “Attracting public institutions is a key task for Busan to advance as a maritime capital.” He added, “We will bring together all capabilities of the local community, including the city council, civic organizations, and experts, and thoroughly prepare the necessary conditions to ensure a successful outcome in attracting these institutions.”
