[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 부산의 대표 여름축제인 제30회 부산바다축제가 오는 7일부터 13일까지 7일간 다대포해수욕장 일원에서 열린다. 올해 축제는 다대포의 아름다운 낙조를 배경으로 불꽃쇼와 공연, 먹거리, 체험 프로그램을 대폭 확대하고 부산지역 대학생들이 함께하는 새로운 콘텐츠를 선보이며 시민과 관광객들에게 한층 풍성한 여름 축제를 선사한다.

부산시는 올해 바다축제를 다대포해수욕장의 자연경관과 어우러진 참여형 콘텐츠 중심으로 구성했다. 축제는 개막일인 7일 저녁 다대포의 대표 프로그램인 '다대 불꽃쇼'로 화려한 막을 올린다. 오후 8시부터 약 17분간 바지선 3대를 활용한 해상 와이드 불꽃쇼가 펼쳐지며, 공연과 불꽃이 어우러진 그랜드 피날레와 애프터 공연이 축제의 시작을 알릴 예정이다.

축제 기간에는 전국 최대 규모의 해변 포장마차인 '다대포차'가 운영된다. 백사장에 마련되는 2천 석 규모의 취식 공간에서는 부산의 밤바다를 배경으로 다양한 먹거리를 즐길 수 있으며, 8일과 9일에는 헤이즈, 폴킴, 웁스, 겟츠, 밴드기린, 톡카펠라 등 다양한 장르의 아티스트들이 무대에 올라 축제 분위기를 한층 끌어올린다.

7일부터 9일까지 운영되는 '선셋 비치클럽'은 야외 클럽과 휴식 공간을 결합한 체류형 프로그램으로 마련된다. 하우스 DJ 공연을 비롯해 DIY 아로마 테라피와 향수 만들기, 선셋무브, 미니볼 바레 등 웰니스 체험 프로그램과 건강식 먹거리존이 함께 운영돼 여름밤 해변의 색다른 즐거움을 제공한다.

올해 새롭게 선보이는 '청춘해(海)방구역'은 부산지역 10개 대학이 함께하는 대학 연합 축제로,10일부터 11일까지 열린다. 부산대학교와 동아대학교, 경성대학교, 국립부경대학교 등 지역 대학생들이 직접 기획하고 운영하는 캠퍼스 포차와 밴드·댄스 동아리 공연이 진행되며, 양홍원과 한요한 등 초청 아티스트의 공연도 함께 펼쳐져 청년 중심의 축제 문화를 선보일 예정이다.

축제 후반에도 다양한 공연이 이어진다. 12일에는 낙조를 배경으로 자전거 탄 풍경과 김장훈 밴드 등이 출연하는 '다대포 포크락 콘서트'가 열리며, 마지막 날인 13일에는 사하구·영도구 구립소년소녀합창단과 주니어콘서트콰이어 등이 참여하는 '열린바다 열린음악회'가 세대를 아우르는 무대로 축제의 대미를 장식한다.

이와 함께 시민들이 직접 참여하는 중고 직거래 장터와 업사이클링 DIY 체험 프로그램으로 구성된 '다대 비치마켓' 등 다양한 부대행사도 축제 기간 내내 상시 운영된다.

부산시는 개막일인 7일 많은 관람객이 몰릴 것으로 예상됨에 따라 안전관리도 강화한다. 다대포해수욕장 백사장 입장 인원을 약 3만5천 명 수준으로 제한하는 총량제를 운영하고, 오후 4시부터 다대로 1개 차로와 인근 공영주차장 3곳을 통제할 계획이다. 관람객이 제한 인원을 초과할 경우에는 고우니 생태길 등 주변 관람 구역으로 안내할 예정이며, 교통 혼잡이 예상되는 만큼 대중교통 이용을 당부했다.

The 14th Busan International Comedy Festival (BICF) is set to bring audiences laughter that transcends language barriers with a lineup of acclaimed international performance teams. Featuring visual comedy, mime, comedy magic, and nonverbal performances from France, Europe, and Japan, this year's festival promises a truly global celebration of comedy.

Running from August 21 to August 30, the 14th BICF will showcase performances by 52 international acts from nine countries, offering Korean audiences a rare opportunity to experience a diverse range of comedy styles from around the world. The festival is expected to deliver fresh entertainment while highlighting the universal appeal of laughter beyond language and culture.

Among the featured performances is "MIME DE RIEN," created by renowned French visual comedian Patrick Cottet Moine. Using minimal dialogue and highly expressive physical performance, the show vividly portrays a variety of professions and characters, inviting audiences into an imaginative world where reality and fantasy blend seamlessly. Through refined mime techniques and expressive storytelling, the performance is expected to deliver both laughter and heartfelt emotion.

Another highlight is "Double," a collaborative comedy magic show featuring world-class illusionists. The performance brings together Norbert Ferré, FISM World Champion of Magic, Charlie Mag, European Magic Champion and Ferré's assistant, and Kim Min-hyung, one of Korea's leading comedy magicians. Combining spectacular illusions with comedic timing, the trio promises a fast-paced performance filled with unexpected twists and visual excitement.

The "Japan Nonverbal Live G Team" will also take the stage with a performance that relies entirely on physical expression rather than spoken dialogue. Japanese artists Moriyasu Bang Bang Bigaro, Mr. Oguchi, and Kinoshita Jaku will showcase a dynamic blend of juggling, magic, and balance art, creating a family-friendly performance that audiences of all ages can enjoy. By communicating solely through movement and performance, the show demonstrates how comedy can connect people regardless of language or nationality.

Through this diverse lineup of international productions, the 14th BICF aims to expand the boundaries of global comedy while offering audiences an opportunity to experience a wide spectrum of comedic traditions. From visual comedy and mime to comedy magic and nonverbal performance, this year's festival further strengthens its position as one of Asia's leading international comedy festivals.

As Asia's first international comedy festival, BICF has spent the past 14 years promoting comedy culture and expanding public access to the performing arts. Since 2024, the festival has also been working with regional universities to cultivate the next generation of comedy talent. Looking ahead, BICF plans to establish a dedicated comedy theater that integrates creation, education, and production while building a sustainable comedy ecosystem. The festival also seeks to strengthen Busan's role as a production and distribution hub for comedy content, laying the foundation for the continued growth of the Korean comedy industry.
