[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 부산해양경찰서는 14일 오후 수영구 광안대교 인근 해상에서 전복된 수상오토바이 운항자 A씨(53, 남)를 무사히 구조했다고 밝혔다.

부산해경에 따르면 이날 오후 2시 26분경 광안대교 중간 지점 해상에서 수상오토바이가 전복됐다는 신고가 접수됐다. 즉시 현장으로 출동한 연안구조정은 오후 2시 32분경 현장에 도착해 구명조끼를 착용한 채 떠 있던 A씨를 신속히 구조했다.

구조된 A씨는 건강 상태에 이상이 없는 것으로 확인됐다. 조사 결과 A씨는 이날 오후 1시 50분경 용호만 인근에서 출항했으나, 광안대교 주탑 아래를 지나던 중 수상오토바이에 갑자기 바닷물이 유입되면서 배가 뒤집힌 것으로 파악됐다.

성대훈 부산해양경찰서장은 "고속으로 운항하는 수상오토바이는 작은 부주의도 전복 사고로 이어질 수 있으므로 출항 전 장비 점검과 구명조끼 착용이 필수적이다"라며 "운항 중에는 안전수칙을 준수하고 해상 기상 상황을 수시로 확인해 사고 예방에 주의해 달라"고 당부했다.

Busan Coast Guard Responds Swiftly to Rescue Rider… Returned Home in Good Health

The Busan Coast Guard (Chief Seong Dae-hoon) announced that it safely rescued a 53-year-old operator, Mr. A, whose personal watercraft capsized near the Gwangan Bridge in Suyeong-gu on the afternoon of August 14.

According to the Busan Coast Guard, a report was received at approximately 2:26 PM that a personal watercraft had capsized near the midpoint of Gwangan Bridge. A coastal rescue boat immediately dispatched and arrived at the scene around 2:32 PM, successfully retrieving Mr. A, who was floating in the water wearing a life jacket.

Mr. A was confirmed to be in good health following the rescue. Statements indicated that he had departed from the nearby Yonghoman area around 1:50 PM, but the craft capsized under the main towers of Gwangan Bridge after seawater suddenly flooded the vehicle.

Seong Dae-hoon, Chief of the Busan Coast Guard, stated, "Because high-speed watercraft can capsize from even minor carelessness, inspecting equipment before departure and wearing life jackets are essential." He added, "Riders should observe safety regulations and check weather and maritime conditions frequently to prevent accidents."
