[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 부산시는 2일 서울 여의도 켄싱턴호텔에서 국민의힘 부산시당과 예산정책협의회를 열고, 내년도 정부 예산 확보와 지역 주요 현안 해결을 위한 초당적 협력 방안을 논의했다고 밝혔다.

민선 9기 시정 출범 이후 처음 마련된 이번 협의회에는 전재수 부산시장과 이성권 시당위원장을 비롯한 부산 지역구 국회의원 전원이 참석해 '오직 부산'을 위한 원팀 공조 체제를 다짐했다.

민선 9기 첫 당정 협치, 초당적 공조 체제 가동

이날 회의에서 양측은 부산의 시급한 현안 과제와 2027년도 정부예산안 국회 심의에 대비한 주요 국비 확보 전략을 집중적으로 논의했다.

전재수 시장은 “지금은 부산이 세계 속의 해양수도로 도약할 골든타임”이라며 “부산의 숙원 과제를 해결하고 대한민국을 이끌 혁신 거점으로 성장하기 위해 여야가 합심해 전폭적으로 힘을 보태달라”고 당부했다. 이에 이성권 시당위원장은 “부산의 이익과 미래를 위해 정부와 여당을 설득하고 초당적으로 협력하며 부산시와 머리를 맞대겠다”라고 강조했다.

공공기관 2차 이전·가덕도신공항 등 9대 핵심 현안 논의

양측은 부산의 시급한 시대적 숙원인 9대 주요 당면 현안의 추진 방안을 점검했다. 주요 과제로는 공공기관 2차 지방 이전 추진, 가덕도신공항 적기 개항, 침례병원 공공병원화, 안전한 먹는 물 공급체계 구축, 경부선 철도 입체화(지하화) 사업 등이 다뤄졌다.

이와 함께 부전역 복합환승센터 조성, 글로벌 AI 허브 유치, 산업용 전기요금 차등제, K콘텐츠 복합문화공간 조성 등에 대해 국회(시당) 차원의 지원과 긴밀한 협력을 바탕으로 적극 힘을 모아 나가기로 했다.

미래 신산업 육성을 위한 17대 주요 국비 사업 공조

2027년도 정부예산안 국회 심의에 대비해 부산의 미래 신산업을 견인할 17개 주요 국비 확보 대상 사업에 대한 대응 전략도 협의했다. 주요 사업에는 국립양자혁신센터 설립, 피지컬AI 기반 지역돌봄 연계 토탈케어 AX 플랫폼, 블록체인 창의지구 조성, 해양항만 AX 실증센터 구축·운영 등이 포함됐다.

아울러 차세대 전력반도체 생산플랫폼 구축, 부산 에코델타 스마트시티 국가시범도시 AI 대전환, 스마트도시 특화단지 조성 사업 등 지역 성장 동력을 확보하기 위한 예산 반영에 총력을 기울이기로 뜻을 모았다.

Busan Metropolitan City announced on September 2 that it held a Budget Policy Council meeting with the Busan Chapter of the People Power Party (PPP) at the Kensington Hotel in Yeouido, Seoul, to discuss bipartisan collaboration for securing next year’s federal budget and addressing key regional issues.

Marking the first formal policy session since the launch of the 9th popular election administration, the meeting brought together Busan Mayor Jeon Jae-soo, PPP Busan Chapter Chairman Lee Seong-kweon, and all local Assembly members representing Busan districts to reaffirm their commitment to a united "One Team" partnership.

First Bipartisan Policy Session Launches Unified Push for City Priorities

During the session, city leadership and lawmakers aligned their strategies to tackle urgent regional projects and prepare for the National Assembly's upcoming review of the 2027 government budget proposal.

Mayor Jeon emphasized that Busan is at a critical golden time to leap forward as a global maritime capital, urging lawmakers to pool their cross-party strengths to help the city secure essential funding and grow as an innovation hub. In response, Chapter Chairman Lee stressed that the party will work hand in hand with city officials to persuade the central government and the ruling party, providing steadfast bipartisan support for the benefit of Busan citizens.

Focus on 9 Critical Pending Issues Including Airport and Relocation Projects

Both sides reviewed actionable steps for nine major pending issues vital to Busan’s long-term development.

Key priorities discussed include accelerating the second phase of public agency relocations, opening Gadeokdo New Airport on schedule, converting Chimrye Hospital into a public hospital, establishing a safe drinking water supply system, and undergrounding the Gyeongbu Railroad Line. Furthermore, participants agreed to combine forces to secure parliamentary support for creating the Bujeon Station Multi-Modal Transit Hub, attracting a Global AI Hub, introducing differential industrial electricity rates, and establishing a multi-cultural K-content complex.

Joint Strategy to Secure Federal Funds for 17 Future Growth Initiatives

The council also coordinated defense strategies for 17 high-priority projects seeking 2027 federal funding to foster Busan's future industries.

Major budget items include establishing the National Quantum Innovation Center, building a Physical AI-based local care AX platform, creating a Blockchain Creative Zone, and constructing the Maritime Port AX Demonstration Center. Additionally, both sides pledged total cooperation to ensure funding for next-generation power semiconductor production platforms, the AI transformation of the Busan Eco Delta Smart City national demonstration site, and smart city specialized zone developments.
