[Here is the English version of the article] Busan to Host Mega Job Fair Connecting 100 Companies With Young Job Seekers
Busan will bring together about 100 leading companies and young job seekers from across the region for a large-scale job fair designed to connect local talent with employment opportunities and provide hands-on career support.
The Busan Metropolitan Government said it will host the 2026 Busan Youth Mega Job Fair from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 21 at Exhibition Hall 2 of BEXCO. The event will offer job interviews and consultations, career mentoring, artificial intelligence-powered job counseling, workplace information and youth policy guidance in one integrated employment event.
The city is hosting the event in partnership with the Busan Economic Promotion Agency and 18 other organizations, including the Busan Regional Employment and Labor Administration, 10 local universities, four district governments, the Busan Employers Federation and the Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The participating universities are Kyungsung University, Kosin University, Tongmyong University, Dongseo University, Dong-A University, Dong-Eui University, Pukyong National University, Busan University of Foreign Studies, Pusan National University and Silla University.
The four participating districts are Dongnae-gu, Haeundae-gu, Suyeong-gu and Saha-gu.
The job fair is intended to consolidate employment fairs that have traditionally been organized separately by individual institutions and universities into one large-scale event. The city said the approach will give young people access to a broader range of job opportunities while helping companies recruit qualified local talent.
The event is also designed to strengthen cooperation among local governments, business organizations, universities and other employment-related institutions so that young people can receive coordinated support ranging from career preparation to actual recruitment.
About 100 companies, including Busan-based companies favored by young workers, established local businesses and companies recognized for their strong employment records, will operate recruitment booths. Participating employers will conduct on-site interviews and provide information and consultations about available positions and hiring requirements.
The fair will also feature live career sessions led by employees currently working at participating companies. Representatives from about 10 companies will provide one-on-many mentoring sessions and answer questions about their jobs, career paths, required skills and strategies for preparing for employment.
Another major feature will be an AI-powered career assessment and mock interview program. Participants will be able to assess nine core competencies considered important for career development and job preparation, receive recommendations for suitable career fields and experience a one-minute self-introduction and simulated job interview followed by personalized feedback.
The event will also include a youth healing and experience zone designed to give job seekers a place to take a break while learning about policies and programs available to them.
The space will use a pharmacy-themed concept, with programs tailored to young people's interests. Activities will include a "Concerns Diagnosis Center," featuring an archive wall; a "Vaccine Manufacturing Room," where participants can make custom keycaps; and a "Sweet Prescription Center," where visitors can receive information about youth policies and programs suited to their needs.
Young job seekers interested in attending can register through the event website, megajob.kr, through Sept. 18. On-site registration will also be available on the day of the event.
The first 200 young people who preregister and attend the event will receive an early-bird commemorative gift on a first-come, first-served basis.
More information is available on the event website. Inquiries can also be directed to the Busan Economic Promotion Agency at 051-600-1357 or the event organizing office at 051-637-9492.
