[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 대한민국 게임산업을 결산하는 ‘2026 대한민국 게임대상’이 오는 11월 18일 부산에서 열려 올해 국내 게임산업을 대표한 작품들을 선정한다.

문화체육관광부가 주최하고 한국게임산업협회가 주관하는 이번 시상식은 전자신문과 스포츠조선이 후원하며, 대상과 최우수상, 우수상, 기술창작상 등 본상과 인기게임상, 인디게임상 등 모두 13개 부문에서 수상작을 선정한다. 총상금은 3천만원이다.

출품작 접수는 28일부터 10월 12일까지 15일간 온·오프라인으로 진행된다.

수상작은 심사위원 평가와 함께 일반인 및 미디어 온라인 투표 결과를 반영해 최종 결정된다. 온라인 투표는 10월 26일부터 11월 16일까지 진행되며, 게임 기자와 게임 인플루언서 등이 투표에 참여한다.

올해 시상식은 지난해와 마찬가지로 한국콘텐츠진흥원이 주관하는 ‘올해의 우수게임’과 연계해 진행된다. 올해의 우수게임 부문별 수상작은 별도의 출품 절차 없이 대한민국 게임대상 후보로 자동 등록된다.

대한민국 게임대상은 한 해 동안 국내 게임산업의 발전에 기여한 게임과 개발자 등을 선정하고 시상하는 국내 대표 게임 시상식이다.

[Here is the English version of the article]  2026 Korea Game Awards to Be Held in Busan on Nov. 18

The 2026 Korea Game Awards, an annual event recognizing achievements in the country’s gaming industry, will be held in Busan on Nov. 18, with awards presented across 13 categories.

Hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and organized by the Korea Association of Game Industry, the awards are sponsored by Electronic Times and Sports Chosun.

The awards include the grand prize, excellence awards and technology and creative awards, as well as the Popular Game Award and Indie Game Award. The total prize money is 30 million won ($22,000).

Applications will be accepted online and offline for 15 days from Sept. 28 through Oct. 12.

Winners will be selected based on evaluations by a panel of judges, with the results of an online public and media vote also taken into account. The online voting period will run from Oct. 26 to Nov. 16, with participation open to members of the general public as well as game journalists and game influencers.

The awards will again be linked to the Korea Creative Content Agency’s annual Outstanding Game Awards. Winners in each category of the Outstanding Game Awards will automatically be registered as nominees for the Korea Game Awards.
