The city of Busan will launch a joint campaign to strengthen the prevention of COVID-19 at seven local beaches.

The city will hold a joint campaign to strengthen quarantine measures at beaches during the holiday season with 200 people, including the city, district/gun, local Maritime and Fisheries Administration, marine investigators, police, private organizations, and volunteers, at 7 beaches in Busan on the 24th (Sat) said on the 21st.

Through this campaign, the city plans to strengthen the use of guidelines and publicity for the use of 'beach quarantine rules such as registration of safety calls at beaches during vacation season and distribution of body temperature stickers' in accordance with the three-step upgrade of the distance from today. In addition, not only publicity of quarantine rules but also joint crackdown on not wearing masks and eating at night.

On June 5, the city of Haeundae Beach promoted a joint campaign with about 90 people including the district, police, tourism associations, and volunteers. In particular, as of the 20th, the number of confirmed infections in the Busan area approached 100, and the full-scale summer vacation season is approaching, preventing visitors from loosening their awareness of quarantine, and if a large number of people concentrate on the beach at once, the quarantine management limit will be reached. To prevent this from happening, another large-scale campaign is launched this weekend.

At local beaches: ▲ Enter after registering for the first safety call (070) (Haeundae, Songjeong body temperature sticker) ▲ Second safety call (080) when borrowing parasols and items, QR check registration and body temperature sticker attached ▲ Even when using the shower after playing in the water We are operating a three-step history and fever management that requires registration of contact information in the real-time shower waiting system (Haeundae, Songjeong). It is strictly managed.

Administrative orders to restrict gatherings are also cracked down more strongly than last year. Administrative measures such as not wearing a mask and eating and drinking at night, which were only 13 cases last year, have increased to 110 cases as of July. In case of non-compliance with the first guidance, a fine for negligence is immediately disposed. From 00:00 on the 21st, eating and drinking at night at the beach is completely prohibited, and the mandatory wearing of masks and the ban on gatherings of more than 5 people must be observed as before.

Busan Mayor Park Hyeong-jun said, “As more and more visitors come to the beach during the holiday season, we ask that citizens actively participate in the voluntary compliance of the quarantine rules by promoting the beach quarantine rules and strengthening enforcement activities so that everyone can enjoy a safe beach. I hope,” he urged.
