부울경 메가시티를 비롯한 권역별 연계 협력사업을 정부 균형발전 정책으로 추진하도록 부울경이 공동건의 했다.

 

부울경은 11일 오후 2시 정부서울청사 자치분권위원회 회의실에서 개최한 메가시티 지원 범부처TF 지원반 회의에 참석하여 정부 주도의 메가시티 정책 추진과 제도적, 재정적 지원을 건의하였다고 밝혔다.

 

이날 회의는 지난달 27일 발족한 메가시티 지원 범부처TF의 첫 실무회의로 자치분권위원회, 국가균형발전위원회, 행정안전부, 기획재정부, 산업통상자원부, 국토교통부와 관련 전문가, 부울경, 충남·충북·대전·세종, 대구·경북, 광주·전남 등 지자체가 참여하여, 메가시티 추진계획을 공유하고 향후 추진방안을 논의했다.

 

주요 내용으로 부울경은 ▲지역의 초광역협력에 대한 정부 차원에서 제도화하여 국가균형발전 특별회계 확대와 초광역협력 지원 계정을 신설하고 ▲지방교부세 지원 대상에 특별지방자치단체를 포함하는 등 획기적인 재정 지원 방안을 마련해 줄 것과 ▲메가시티 지원 범부처 TF에 지자체를 참여시켜 관련 내용을 지속적으로 협의해 줄 것을 건의 했다.
