[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 본격적인 휴가철을 앞두고 부산시가 올해 두 번째 직원 단체헌혈을 통해 하절기 혈액수급 안정화에 나섰다.

시는 24일 오전 10시~ 오후 4시까지 시청과 경찰청 사이 도로에서 헌혈버스 3대를 이용하여 ‘제2회 직원 헌혈의 날’을 진행했다. 헌혈은 버스 내부 소독을 비롯해 헌혈자들의 마스크 착용, 발열 체크, 손 소독 등 방역 수칙을 엄격히 준수했다.

이번 헌혈의 날 행사는 학생들의 방학과 폭염 등 계절적인 요인으로 혈액 수급이 어려운 하절기에 공직자가 솔선수범하여 혈액수급 안정화에 기여할 전망이다.

최근 부산지역 내 혈액수급은 코로나19 확진자 수가 줄고, 사회적 거리두기도 해제되면서 다소 공급이되고 있다. 오미크론 변이 바이러스가 전방위적으로 확산했던 지난 1회 헌혈의 날(2월 25일) 당시 부산지역 혈액 보유량은 24일 기준 2.2일분으로 전국 평균 보유량인 2.9일분에도 미치지 못했다.

시 관계자는 "시민들의 적극적인 참여와 지자체의 지속적인 관심으로 6월 23일 10시 기준 부산지역 혈액 보유량은 9.6일분으로 4개월여 만에 4배를 훌쩍 넘었다."고 전했다. 

헌혈한 혈액은 장기간 보관이 불가능(농축적혈구 35일, 혈소판 5일)한 점을 고려하면 적정 혈액 보유량인 5일분을 유지하기 위해서는 지속적이고 꾸준한 관심과 동참이 요구된다.
