브레이크뉴스 박동제 기자= JYP엔터테인먼트(이하 JYP)가 미국 타임지 선정 '2025년 세계 최고의 지속가능 성장기업'에서 세계 3위, 그리고 국내 1위라는 최고 성적표를 받았다.

 

지난달 27일(현지 시간 기준) 미국 주간지 타임(TIME)과 독일 시장분석기업 스태티스타(Statista)는 '2025년 세계 최고의 지속가능 성장기업'(World’s Best Companies in Sustainable Growth 2025)를 발표했다. 

 

이에 따르면 기술, 미디어&서비스(Technology, Media & Services) 분야의 JYP엔터테인먼트는 93.66점으로 유수의 글로벌 기업들 중 세계 3위, 또 한국에서는 1위에 올랐다. 특히 아시아권 중에서는 유일하게 TOP 10에 자리해 더욱 눈길을 끌었다. 

 

해당 랭킹 '2025년 세계 최고의 지속가능 성장기업'(World’s Best Companies in Sustainable Growth 2025)는 강력한 재무 건전성을 유지하면서도 지속가능한 개발 분야에서 뛰어난 성과를 보이는 전 세계 500개 기업을 선정한다. 타임과 스태티스타는 기업의 매출 성장, 재무 안전성, 환경 영향 등을 동일한 비율로 합산해(100점 만점 기준) 최종 순위를 결정했다.

 

독일 시장분석기업 스태티스타는 "JYP엔터테인먼트는 매출 성장률, 재무 안전성, 지속 가능성 전 분야에서 높은 점수를 달성했다. 특히 친환경 에너지 사용량이 매우 높으며, 탄소 배출량 기준 상위 5% 기업에 속해있다. 한 기업이 모든 카테고리에서 고른 성과를 달성하는 이례적인 일"이라며 이 같은 성적표를 준 이유를 밝혔다.

 

JYP는 '2023 모건스탠리캐피탈인터내셔널(MSCI)' ESG 평가에서 국내 K팝 엔터테인먼트사 중 최고 등급인 'AA'를 획득하며 활발한 ESG 경영 활동을 인정받은 것은 물론 2022년 국내 엔터테인먼트사 중 처음으로 ESG 추진 노력 및 활동 기록을 작성한 지속가능경영보고서를 발간하며 지속 가능한 미래를 위한 행보에 앞장서고 있다. 

 

올해 6월에는 세 번째 지속가능경영보고서를 발간하고 기업의 경영활동이 환경 및 사회에 미치는 영향과 지속가능성 이슈가 기업의 재무적인 측면에 미치는 영향을 고려하는 이중 중대성(Double Materiality) 평가 결과와 이행 활동을 밝혔다. 

 

이에 따르면, JYP는 사업 운영 전반에 발생 가능한 모든 이해관계자들의 인권을 존중하고 책임을 다하고자 인권경영을 실천하고, 안전보건 조직과 안전보건 경영방침에 따라 생명과 안전을 지키는 데 노력을 기울인 것으로 알려졌다.
