[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 김석준 부산교육감 예비후보는 31일 진보교육감 후보 단일화 추진에 참여하지 않기로 최종 결정했다고 밝혔다.

김 예비후보는 "부산 민주진보교육감추진위의 단일화 방식은 마치 불법적인 길을 함께 가자고 강요하는 것과 같다"라며 "결코 민주적이지도 진보적이지도 않으며, 투명하지도 적법하지도 않은 무모한 단일화 과정에 참여할 생각이 없다"라고 분명히 선을 그었다.

그는 "최근 여론조사에서 진보 성향의 유권자들 중에서 저와 상대후보의 지지율은 “45.8 : 9.3”로 그 차이가 거의 5배에 달했다"라며 "추진위의 단일화에 참여해도 불리할 것이 전혀 없음에도 참여하지 않기로 한 것은 ▲선거 부정으로 인해 치러지는 재선거가 다시 탈법과 위법의 빌미를 주는 것은 부산시민에 대한 예의가 아니며, ▲교육감 선거는 진보와 보수 진영으로 나눌 수도 없고 나눠서도 안된다고 생각하기 때문"이라고 이유를 설명했다.
