[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 부산 중구가 지난 11일 전통 예절 교육의 상징인 청학동 훈장 김봉곤 씨를 중구 홍보대사로 공식 위촉했다.

이번 위촉은 같은 날 용두산공원에서 열린 '2025 효(孝)나눔 문화대축제' 현장에서 진행되어, 축제 분위기 속 어르신들과 함께 뜻깊은 시간을 가졌다.

김봉곤 훈장은 효와 예를 중시한 선조의 지혜를 현대에서 실천할 수 있도록 교육을 펼치며 전통문화의 명맥을 잇는 중요한 역할을 수행해 왔다. 특히 ‘효(孝)의 도시’를 선포하며 효 문화 확산에 박차를 가하고 있는 중구와의 만남은 그 상징성과 시의성이 더욱 부각된다.

김 훈장은 위촉 소감을 통해 “효는 뿌리이자 근본이며, 사랑과 감사를 의미한다. 근본을 중시하는 부산 중구의 홍보대사로서, 흰 고무신이 닳아 없어질 때까지 전통을 전하는 데 앞장서겠다”라며 깊은 각오를 전했다.

최진봉 중구청장도 “고령화 시대의 문제 해결을 위한 핵심 열쇠는 바로 ‘효’에 있다”며 “세대를 연결하는 효 문화의 실천은 도시의 품격을 높이고, 공동체 회복의 기틀이 될 것”이라고 강조했다. 그는 또한 “김봉곤 홍보대사께서 효 문화를 전국에 널리 알리는 든든한 메신저가 되어주시리라 기대한다”고 덧붙였다.

한편, 부산 중구는 오는 18일(수) 오후 2시, 구청 대회의실에서 김봉곤 홍보대사를 강연자로 초청해  ‘청학동 김봉곤 훈장이 들려주는 효 이야기’를 주제로 중구 아카데미 40회차 특별 강연을 개최한다.

이번 강연에서는 현대사회 속 효의 의미를 새롭게 조명하고, 세대 간 존중과 배려의 가치를 되새기는 시간을 마련할 예정이다.
