[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 부산시는 지역 제조업의 혁신과 재도약을 위해 추진 중인 ‘부산형 앵커기업 육성 지원사업’의 일환으로 2025년 신규 선도(앵커)기업 6개 사를 선정하고, 24일 시그니엘 부산에서 인증서 수여식을 개최했다.

 

이번 사업은 지난해 3개 사 선정으로 시작되었으며, 올해부터는 사업 규모와 내용을 확대해 본격적으로 시행에 돌입했다. 이날 수여식에서는 올해 새롭게 선정된 6개 기업에 인증서와 현판이 수여되었으며, 지난해 선정된 3개 기업에도 현판이 전달돼 정책 인지도 제고와 기업 대외 신뢰도 강화가 도모되었다.

 

시는 이번 기업 선정을 위해 인공지능(AI) 기반의 평가 시스템을 도입하고, 오디션형 발표평가 방식으로 기업의 성장 가능성과 전략을 다각도로 검토했다. AI 평가에는 신용보증기금의 ‘BASA’와 기술보증기금의 ‘K-TOP’ 시스템이 활용되었으며, 발표평가는 전문가와 시민으로 구성된 평가단이 참여해 기업별 강점과 발전 전략을 심층 분석했다.

 

2025년 선정된 부산형 앵커기업은 ▲‘프리앵커’ 부문에 ㈜모플랫, ㈜일주지앤에스 ▲‘앵커’ 부문에 선보공업㈜, ㈜아셈스 ▲‘탑티어앵커’ 부문에 효성전기㈜, 조광페인트㈜로, 총 6개 기업이다.

 

‘부산형 앵커기업’은 단순히 규모가 크다는 것을 넘어, 산업생태계 내에서 기술경쟁력, 지역 고용창출, 후방 중소기업과의 연계, 기술 파급력, 글로벌 확장 가능성 등에서 높은 가치를 지닌 핵심 기업으로 평가된다. 앞서 2024년에는 ㈜화신볼트산업, 제일일렉트릭㈜, ㈜유니테크노 3개 사가 선정된 바 있다.

 

이번에 선정된 기업들은 향후 3년간(인증기간) 기업별로 3억 원에서 최대 5억 원까지 지원받게 되며, 심층 분석 및 맞춤형 컨설팅, 기술개발, 특허·시험·인증 지원, 해외 진출, 기업가치 제고 등 연구개발(R&D)과 비(非)R&D 전 분야에서 폭넓은 지원이 이뤄진다.

 

시는 이 사업을 통해 지역 제조업을 견인할 선도기업을 육성하고자 지원 규모를 기존 3년간 총 30억 원에서, 6년간 총 117억 원으로 대폭 확대했다.

 

한편, 인증서 수여식 직후에는 ‘매뉴콘(Manucorn) 개방형 혁신 세미나’가 시너지아이비(IB)투자㈜와 연계하여 개최되었다. 이 자리에서는 민간·공공 부문의 오픈 이노베이션 전문가들이 참여해 대기업과 스타트업, 지역기업 간 협업 사례와 전략을 공유했다.

 

특히 이번 세미나는 정보 교류를 넘어 ▲AI 기반 전환을 통한 제조기업 가치 창출 ▲공동 R&D 개발 ▲테스트베드 연계 ▲초기 투자 연계 ▲글로벌 진출 자문 등 실질적 협력 기회의 장으로 기능할 것으로 기대된다. 부산시는 민간 협력을 통한 지속 가능한 개방형 혁신 생태계 구축에도 속도를 낼 방침이다.

 

이날 행사에는 박형준 부산시장을 비롯해 앵커기업 대표, 유관기관, 협회 및 단체 관계자 등 60여 명이 참석했으며, 박 시장은 인증서를 직접 수여한 후 기업 대표들과 허심탄회한 소통의 시간을 가졌다.

 

박 시장은 “부산은 대한민국 성장의 양대 축으로서, 글로벌 허브 도시로 도약할 수 있는 충분한 잠재력을 보유하고 있다”며, “지역 제조업의 활력 회복을 통해 청년일자리 창출, 산업 고도화, 지역 균형성장까지 아우르는 정책 시너지를 창출하겠다”고 밝혔다.

Busan Selects Six New “Busan-Style Anchor Companies” to Lead Regional Manufacturing Revitalization

The City of Busan has selected six new companies as part of its “Busan-Style Anchor Company Development Support Program,” aimed at revitalizing and innovating the region's manufacturing sector. A certificate awarding ceremony was held on July 24 at Signiel Busan to recognize the newly designated anchor companies for 2025.

 

This initiative, which began with the selection of three companies in 2024, has been significantly expanded in scope and scale starting this year. At the ceremony, both the six newly selected companies and the three companies selected last year received plaques and certificates, thereby increasing awareness of the policy and enhancing the public credibility of the participating businesses.

 

To select this year’s companies, Busan City adopted AI-based evaluation tools for the first time, alongside a competitive “audition-style” presentation format. The AI assessments were conducted using Shinhan Bank’s BASA system and Korea Technology Finance Corporation’s K-TOP system. In the presentation round, a panel composed of experts and local citizens evaluated each company’s strengths and growth strategies.

"Busan-Style Anchor Companies" are defined not merely by size but by their core impact on the regional industrial ecosystem. These companies are characterized by strong technological competitiveness, potential for global expansion, job creation, partnerships with SMEs, and technological ripple effects. In 2024, the first three anchor companies designated were Hwashin Bolt Industries Co., Ltd., Jeil Electric Co., Ltd., and Unitechno Co., Ltd.

 

Selected companies will receive focused support over a three-year certification period, including between KRW 300 million to KRW 500 million per company. Key support areas include in-depth consulting, technology development, patent/testing/certification assistance, overseas market entry, and company value enhancement, covering both R&D and non-R&D sectors.

 

To more systematically nurture leading companies in the manufacturing sector, Busan City has expanded the program's budget from KRW 3 billion over three years (2024–2026) to KRW 11.7 billion over six years (2024–2029).

 

Following the certificate ceremony, the “Manucorn Open Innovation Seminar” was held in collaboration with Synergy IB Investment Co., Ltd. Experts in open innovation from both the public and private sectors shared strategies and case studies involving cooperation among large enterprises, startups, and regional businesses.

 

The seminar aimed to go beyond simple knowledge sharing and foster practical cooperation opportunities such as AI-driven transformation for value creation, joint R&D, testbed utilization, early-stage investment linkage, and global expansion consulting. The City also plans to establish a sustainable cooperation system with key innovation institutions and support agencies in Busan to enhance public-private synergy through open innovation.

 

The ceremony was attended by over 60 participants, including Busan Mayor Park Heong-joon, anchor company representatives, and officials from related institutions and associations. Mayor Park personally presented the certificates and engaged in open dialogue with company leaders.

 

Mayor Park stated, “Busan is one of the two major pillars of South Korea’s growth and has the potential to become a global hub city. For Korea to leap forward again, its regions must become stronger. And for that, we need to solidify the industrial foundation. We will restore the vitality of local manufacturing and create policy synergies that connect youth employment, industrial advancement, and balanced regional development.”
