[브레이크뉴스=김선옥 기자] 2025년 제20회를 맞는 아시아콘텐츠&필름마켓(Asian Contents & Film Market, 이하 ACFM)이 올해 콘퍼런스 주요 라인업을 발표했다.

 

이번 콘퍼런스는 AI, 디지털 전환, 금융, IP, 글로벌 협력 등 현재 콘텐츠 산업 전반의 핵심 이슈를 포괄하며, 각국 콘텐츠 전문가 및 기관이 참여하는 국제적 교류의 장으로 마련된다.

 

‘이노아시아’, 영화와 AI 융합 조명

기술과 예술의 접점을 조명하는 ‘이노아시아(InnoAsia)’ 세션은 영화와 AI의 융합을 중심 주제로, 총 6개 세션으로 구성된다. 오프닝 세션 ‘데모 잼 킥오프(Demo Jam Kick-off)’를 통해 주요 발표 참가자들이 소개되며, 이어지는 ‘커넥팅 이노베이션(Connecting Innovation)’에서는 아마존과 알리바바의 클라우드 및 AI 기반 제작 사례와 서울경제진흥원(SBA)의 공공-민간 협력 스타트업 지원 사례가 공유된다.

 

영화진흥위원회와 공동 주최하는 ‘영화적 특이점’ 세션에서는 미드저니(Midjourney), 클링(Kling), 구글(Google) 등 글로벌 테크 기업과 아시아 영화인들이 참여해 AI 기반 창작 환경과 새로운 창작자의 시대를 전망한다. 이어 ‘IP 가치사슬 변화’, ‘스토리텔링 확장’, 오픈AI가 참여하는 ‘미래의 재구성’ 등 세부 주제를 통해 산업 전반의 변화를 분석하고, MIT 팻 파타라누타폰 교수의 클로징 키노트를 통해 영화산업의 미래를 다층적으로 조망할 예정이다.

 

‘The A서밋’, 아시아 영화산업 협력의 플랫폼

‘The A서밋(The A Summit)’은 아시아 영화기관 협력체 AFAN과 공동으로 개최되며, 아시아 지역 내 영화산업 협력과 비전을 집중 조명한다. ‘AFAN 스포트라이트’ 세션에서는 아시아 각국의 영화·영상 관련 기관 및 정부 관계자들이 참여해 산업 현황 및 최신 데이터를 공유하고, 콘텐츠 산업의 지역별 흐름을 분석한다.

 

‘아시아 필름마켓 리더스 서밋’에서는 ACFM(한국), TIFFCOM(일본), TAICCA(대만), JAFF MARKET(인도네시아), RED SEA SOUK(사우디아라비아) 등 주요 아시아 마켓 대표들이 참석해 급변하는 글로벌 콘텐츠 시장에서 각국 마켓의 역할을 점검하고, 향후 협력 확대 방안을 논의한다.

 

‘윈스턴 베이커’ 세션, 금융과 글로벌 전략에 집중

올해 처음 부산에서 열리는 ‘윈스턴 베이커(Winston Baker)’ 세션은 엔터테인먼트 금융을 핵심 주제로 구성됐다. ‘부산 엔터테인먼트 파이낸스 포럼 Ⅰ’에서는 한국 영화산업의 전통적 투자 구조를 분석하며, 팬데믹 이후 민간 및 제도권 투자의 위축 원인과 회복 가능성을 살핀다. 이와 함께 한중일 및 인도네시아 장편 애니메이션 사례를 중심으로 지속 가능한 콘텐츠 제작 방안을 모색하고, AI와 글로벌 기업의 진입이 콘텐츠 제작 환경에 미치는 영향에 대해서도 논의가 이뤄진다.

 

이어지는 ‘부산 엔터테인먼트 파이낸스 포럼 Ⅱ’에서는 윈스턴 베이커가 기획한 파이어사이드 토크(Fireside Talk)가 진행된다. 이 세션에는 ‘나이트 매니저(The Night Manager)’ 제작자이자 잉크 팩토리 공동 CEO인 사이먼 콘웰(Simon Cornwell)과 전 미국영화예술과학아카데미 회장이자 프로듀서인 재닛 양(Janet Yang)이 참여해 IP 기획 및 각색, 드라마 포맷 개발, 아시아 내 촬영 인센티브, 극장 산업 회복 전략, 아시아-할리우드 협력 사례 등을 폭넓게 공유할 예정이다.

 

2025 아시아콘텐츠&필름마켓은 오는 9월 20일(토)부터 23일(화)까지 4일간 부산 벡스코 제2전시장에서 개최되며, 전 세계 콘텐츠 산업 전문가와 업계 종사자들이 참여해 글로벌 콘텐츠 산업의 현재와 미래를 논의하는 장이 될 전망이다.

‘InnoAsia’, a platform where technology meets art, will focus on the convergence of film and artificial intelligence. The program features six curated sessions.

 

The opening session, Demo Jam Kick-off, will introduce key participants, followed by Connecting Innovation, which will present AI- and cloud-based production innovations from Amazon and Alibaba, along with startup support cases from the Seoul Business Agency (SBA) showcasing public-private open innovation models.

 

In a joint session with the Korean Film Council titled The Cinematic Singularity, global tech leaders like Midjourney, Kling, and Google will join Asian filmmakers to explore the rise of a new "creator era" powered by AI. Additional sessions will cover evolving IP value chains, the expansion of storytelling methods, and future industry outlooks with participation from OpenAI. The program will conclude with a keynote address by MIT Professor Patt Pataranutaporn, offering a multilayered exploration of the film industry's future.

 

The A Summit: Strengthening Regional Ties Across Asia’s Film Industry

The A Summit, a platform for regional cooperation, will be held in partnership with AFAN (Asia Film Agencies Network). In AFAN Spotlight, film and media agencies from across Asia, alongside government officials, will present current industry data and trends to analyze the direction of the regional content landscape.

 

The Asian Film Market Leaders Summit will bring together leaders from major Asian content markets—ACFM (Korea), TIFFCOM (Japan), TAICCA (Taiwan), JAFF MARKET (Indonesia), and RED SEA SOUK (Saudi Arabia). The session will examine the evolving roles of film markets amid rapid changes in the global content ecosystem and explore strategies for enhanced collaboration and exchange.

 

Winston Baker Sessions: Focus on Entertainment Finance and Global Strategy

For the first time in Busan, the Winston Baker sessions will place a spotlight on entertainment finance. In Busan Entertainment Finance Forum I, industry experts will analyze the evolution of Korea’s film investment structure, once among the most advanced in Asia. The session will also address the decline in public and private sector investment during and after the pandemic, along with potential recovery strategies.

 

Case studies of successful animated feature films from Japan, China, Indonesia, and Korea will be discussed to explore sustainable content production models. Additionally, the influence of AI and global corporations on the production environment will be examined.

 

In Busan Entertainment Finance Forum II, a Fireside Talk curated by Winston Baker will feature Simon Cornwell, producer of The Night Manager and co-CEO of The Ink Factory, alongside Janet Yang, former President of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and a veteran producer. Topics will include IP development and adaptation, drama format creation, filming incentives across Asia, strategies for theatrical industry recovery, and successful Asia-Hollywood collaboration models.

 

The 2025 Asian Contents & Film Market will be held over four days from Saturday, September 20 to Tuesday, September 23 at BEXCO Exhibition Center II in Busan, bringing together global industry stakeholders to discuss the present and future of the global content industry.
