[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 아트부산이 23~24일 도시, 건축, 디자인, 기술, 라이프스타일을 아우르는 문화 컨퍼런스 ‘FRAME 2025’를 개최했다.

이번 컨퍼런스는 단순한 미술 전시를 넘어, 도시와 기술, 문화가 교차하는 새로운 담론을 제시하며 부산을 글로벌 문화 허브로 육성하기 위한 프로젝트다. 특히 2028년 부산의 세계디자인수도 선정을 기념해 부산아트위크 가을 에디션과 연계하여 도시 전역에서 다양한 문화 행사를 선보인다.

도시와 문화의 미래를 논하다

‘FRAME 2025’는 3개 트랙, 10개 세션, 18명의 국내외 연사가 참여해 도시와 문화의 미래를 심도 있게 논의했다.

개막일인 23일에는 부산시 총괄 디자이너인 나건 교수의 기조연설을 시작으로, 건축가 유현준이 '공간으로 읽는 대한민국'을 주제로 강연했다. 이어 유병안, 김인철, 박태홍 건축가가 '건축으로 기억되는 도시'를, 미디어 아티스트 양민하, 민세희가 'AI의 미학'을 논하며 예술과 기술의 접점을 탐구했다.

24일인 컨퍼런스 이튿날에는 기아 넥스트CMF팀과 LG전자 마이테이스트컴퍼니 등 기업 전문가들이 디자인과 라이프스타일의 미래를 제시한다.

또한 로에베 공예상 국제 커미셔너 조혜영 감독이 글로벌 공예·디자인 협력 사례를 공유하고, 부산의 대표 셰프와 브랜드 관계자들이 ‘테이스트 오브 부산’ 세션에서 지역 미식의 지속가능성을 논의한다. 마지막으로 음악과 공간이 만드는 예술적 경험을 주제로 한 세션이 컨퍼런스를 마무리할 예정이다.

부산아트위크와 시너지 효과

'FRAME 2025'는 9월 13일부터 30일까지 열리는 부산아트위크 Fall Edition과 함께 진행되어 시너지 효과를 창출한다. 가을 시즌으로 확장된 이번 아트위크에는 부산 지역 17개 갤러리가 참여해 전시, 오프닝, 아티스트 토크 등 다채로운 프로그램을 선보인다.

부산국제영화제와 같은 가을 축제 시즌에 맞춰 기획된 이번 행사는 방문객들에게 영화, 관광과 더불어 예술과 문화를 함께 경험할 수 있는 기회를 제공하며, 부산의 문화적 매력을 한층 더 높일 것으로 기대된다.

아트부산 손영희 이사장은 "FRAME 2025가 도시와 예술, 기술을 연결하는 새로운 플랫폼이 될 것"이라며, "부산아트위크와 함께 부산의 문화적 잠재력을 알리고, 다양한 예술 애호가들이 교류하는 영감의 장이 되기를 바란다"고 밝혔다.

Art Busan officially launched 'FRAME 2025' a new kind of cultural conference covering urban planning, architecture, design, technology, and lifestyle. The two-day event began on September 23 at Grand Josun Busan. The conference goes beyond a traditional art fair to propose a new dialogue at the intersection of cities, technology, and culture, aiming to nurture Busan into a global cultural hub. This project is a special celebration of Busan's designation as the 2028 World Design Capital and is linked to the Busan Art Week Fall Edition, offering various cultural events throughout the city.

Discussing the Future of Cities and Culture

'FRAME 2025' brought together 18 domestic and international speakers across 3 tracks and 10 sessions to engage in a deep discussion about the future of cities and culture. The opening day, September 23, began with a keynote speech by Na Geon, Busan's Chief Designer. Architect Yoo Hyun-joon followed with a lecture on "Reading South Korea Through Space." Architects Yoo Byung-ahn, Kim In-cheol, and Park Tae-hong discussed "Cities Remembered Through Architecture," while media artists Yang Min-ha and Min Se-hee explored the intersection of art and technology with a talk on "The Aesthetics of AI."

On the second day, September 24, corporate experts from Kia's Next CMF Team and LG Electronics' My Taste Company will present future trends in design and lifestyle. Cho Hye-young, the international commissioner for the Loewe Craft Prize, will share examples of global craft and design collaborations.

In the "Taste of Busan" session, prominent chefs and brand representatives from the city will discuss the sustainability of local cuisine. The conference will conclude with a session on the artistic experience created by the intersection of music and urban space.

Synergy with Busan Art Week

'FRAME 2025' is held alongside the Busan Art Week Fall Edition, which runs from September 13 to 30, creating a powerful synergy. This expanded art week includes 17 local galleries that are participating with diverse programs such as exhibitions, opening events, and artist talks. The event was timed to coincide with major fall festivals like the Busan International Film Festival, offering visitors an opportunity to experience art and culture in addition to film and tourism, thereby enhancing the city's overall cultural appeal.

"FRAME 2025 will be a new platform that connects the city, art, and technology," said Son Young-hee, director of Art Busan. "I hope that together with Busan Art Week, it will become an inspiring venue that showcases Busan's cultural potential and fosters new exchanges among art lovers."
