[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 부산시는 지난 26일부터 29일까지 몽골 다큐멘터리 '만남의 축복' 제작을 위한 부산의료관광 초청 홍보여행(팸투어)을 성공적으로 마쳤다고 밝혔다. 

 

이번 행사는 몽골 근로자 자녀와 전통공연단, 방송 관계자 등 20명이 참여해 부산의 우수한 의료 인프라와 해양‧치유‧미식 관광의 매력을 직접 체험했다.

 

이들은 부산의 우수한 의료 기반 시설(인프라)과 몽골에서 접하기 힘든 바다, 치유 관광(웰니스), 미식 관광의 매력을 체험하고 부산-몽골 간의 문화 교류를 강화하는 시간을 가졌다. 

 

 의료‧치유 관광 중심 프로그램 진행

팸투어 참가자들은 청소년 성장기 맞춤형 건강검진을 받을 수 있는 첨단 검진센터를 방문해 부산의 높은 의료 수준과 진료체계를 확인했다. 이어 ‘클럽디오아시스’, ‘아홉산숲’ 등 대표 치유 관광지와 부산의 다양한 미식 명소를 체험하며 힐링 관광을 즐겼다. 또한 ‘비짓부산패스’를 활용해 주요 관광지를 이용하는 장면을 촬영하며 부산 관광의 편리함과 우수성을 집중 조명했다.

다큐멘터리로 몽골 전역에 방영 예정

이번 초청 홍보여행 전 과정은 부산의료 및 치유 관광지를 중심으로 구성된 다큐멘터리로 제작돼 오는 12월 초 몽골 전역에 방영될 예정이다. 부산시는 이를 통해 부산‧몽골 간 문화교류와 상생 발전을 도모하고, 부산의료관광 브랜드 인지도를 확산시킬 계획이다.

 

문화공연으로 부산-몽골 우호 강화

방문단은 ‘제1회 글로벌도시관광서밋’ 주요 일정에 참여해 몽골 전통공연을 두 차례 선보였다. 10월 27일 해운대 구남로 관광로드쇼와 서밋 공식행사에서는 몽골 청소년 공연팀이 전통악기 마두금 연주와 전통춤, 곡예를 공연해 부산시민과 세계 각국 참가자에게 깊은 인상을 남겼다.

 

글로벌 협력 기반 강화와 미래 교류 논의

이번 사업은 지난 8월 부산시 대표단이 몽골을 방문해 ‘사인 오츠랄(Sain Uchral)’ 재단과 함께 발굴한 프로젝트로, 의료‧치유‧문화 교류를 결합한 글로벌 의료관광 협력모델 구축에 의미가 있다.

 

부산시는 팸투어 기간 중 환영행사를 열고, 2026년 부산-울란바토르 우호협력도시 체결 10주년을 앞두고 의료, 교육, 관광, 경제, 청소년 분야 전반에 걸친 실질적 협력 확대 방안을 논의했다.

“몽골과 동반성장 발판 마련”

김현재 부산시 관광마이스국장은 “몽골은 부산 의료관광의 전략적 협력국으로 이번 방문은 부산과 몽골이 함께 발전할 수 있는 구체적 협력의 시작점이 되었다”며 “앞으로도 의료와 관광, 문화와 경제 분야에서 몽골과 동반 성장할 수 있는 기회를 지속적으로 만들어가겠다”고 밝혔다.

Busan Metropolitan City announced it successfully completed a four-day familiarization tour from October 26 to 29 for the production of the Mongolian documentary “Blessing of Meeting.”

 

The program invited Mongolian workers’ children living in Busan, a Mongolian traditional performance troupe, and broadcasting representatives — a total of 20 participants — to explore the city’s medical and wellness tourism resources.

 

They experienced Busan’s advanced medical infrastructure, the ocean and wellness attractions that are rare to encounter in Mongolia, as well as the charm of local gastronomy, strengthening cultural exchange between Busan and Mongolia.

 

The entire program will be produced as a documentary highlighting Busan’s medical and wellness tourism destinations and is scheduled to air across Mongolia in early December this year, aiming to promote mutual friendship and sustainable growth between the two regions.

 

Promoting Busan’s Medical and Wellness Tourism

During the visit, the group experienced customized health checkups for adolescents at an advanced medical center, gaining firsthand insights into Busan’s sophisticated healthcare system. They also toured the city’s signature wellness and healing attractions such as Club The Oasis, Ahopsan Forest, and marine leisure sites, while tasting Busan’s renowned culinary offerings.

 

Filming scenes with the Visit Busan Pass, the participants highlighted the convenience and quality of the city’s major tourist infrastructure, which will feature in the documentary to be broadcast nationwide across Mongolia in early December.

 

Strengthening Busan–Mongolia Cultural Ties

The familiarization tour originated from a cooperative initiative discovered during Busan’s official visit to Mongolia in August, in collaboration with the Sain Uchral Foundation. The project integrates three key pillars — medical, wellness, and cultural exchange — as part of a global medical tourism partnership model.

 

The “Blessing of Meeting” event, now in its seventh year, is a social contribution program inviting children of Mongolian workers in Busan to reunite with family while promoting Busan’s medical tourism through documentary storytelling. Both cities also used this opportunity to foster deeper cultural understanding and friendship.

 

Highlight Performances at Global Tourism Summit

As part of the itinerary, the Mongolian delegation showcased two traditional performances during the 1st Global City Tourism Summit, including a cultural roadshow on Haeundae Gunam-ro on October 27. Mongolian youth performers introduced traditional instruments such as the morin khuur, alongside folk dances and acrobatics, sharing a vibrant expression of Mongolian heritage with Busan residents and international participants.

 

Expanding Cooperation Beyond Tourism

Busan City officials emphasized that the visit laid a foundation for broadening cooperation beyond medical tourism into wider cultural and economic areas.

 

At a welcome dinner on October 28, the two sides discussed enhancing collaboration ahead of the 10th anniversary of Busan–Ulaanbaatar sister-city relations in 2026, envisioning joint projects in health, education, tourism, economy, and youth exchange.

 

Kim Hyun-jae, Director-General of Busan’s Tourism & MICE Bureau, stated, “Mongolia is a strategic partner in Busan’s medical tourism sector, and this visit marks the beginning of concrete cooperation for mutual growth. The city will continue expanding support to build sustainable partnerships with Mongolia across medical, tourism, cultural, and economic fields.”
