[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 부산 금정산이 대한민국 최초의 도심형 국립공원으로 공식 지정된 것을 기념해 부산시와 시민들이 함께 축하하는 자리가 마련됐다.

 

부산시는 25일 오후 금정문화회관 금빛누리홀에서 시민·환경단체 등 800여 명과 함께 지정 의미를 되새기고 향후 발전 방향을 공유하는 기념 행사를 열었다.

 

■ 금정산, 민·관·정이 함께 이룬 첫 ‘도심형 국립공원’

행사는 박형준 부산시장과 지역 국회의원, 시의원, 구청장, 금정산국립공원시민추진본부, 범어사, 시민·환경단체 등 다양한 지역 구성원이 참석한 가운데 진행됐다.

 

금정산은 지난달 국립공원위원회 최종 심의를 통과하며 국립공원으로 지정됐다. 특히 도심과 인접한 산지가 국립공원으로 지정된 최초 사례로, 시민·단체·기관이 오랜 기간 힘을 모아 성사시킨 성과라는 점에서 의미가 크다.

 

■ 지정 의미 되새기고 감사 패 수여… 시민 참여형 프로그램 다채롭게 구성

기념식은 퓨전밴드 ‘비스타’의 공연을 시작으로 금정산국립공원 지정 과정과 의미를 소개하는 경과보고 및 홍보영상 상영이 이어졌다.

 

또 오랜 기간 지정 추진에 힘써온 인사와 단체에 감사패가 전달됐다. ▲강종인 금정산국립공원시민추진본부 대표 ▲이윤희 범어사 신도회장 ▲문창규 국립공원공단 차장이 수상자로 선정됐다.

LED 점등 세리머니에서는 각계 대표들이 무대 버튼을 누르자 시민 염원을 담은 소망의 빛이 금정산 전경으로 연출되며 국립공원 지정을 축하하는 메시지가 송출됐다.

브레이킹팀 ‘카이크루(CAYCREW)’와 지역 가수 ‘싸이버거’의 공연도 마련돼 행사 분위기를 더욱 높였다.

 

■ 부산시 “생태 보전·탐방 환경 정비·체류형 관광 육성에 총력”

부산시는 이번 행사를 계기로 금정산국립공원이 안정적으로 안착할 수 있도록 국립공원공단, 전문가, 지역사회와 협력체계를 강화할 계획이다.

 

시는 생태적 가치 보전을 위해 관련 정보를 상시 공유하고 필요한 행정·제도적 지원을 지속하며, 탐방 환경 정비와 안전 보호체계도 강화할 방침이다.

 

박형준 시장은 “이번 행사는 금정산국립공원 지정을 시민과 함께 축하하는 첫걸음이자, 금정산의 가치를 지키고 미래 세대에 물려주기 위한 새로운 약속의 시작”이라고 의미를 부여했다. 이어 “부산이 글로벌 허브도시로 성장하려면 체류형 관광 콘텐츠 확충이 중요하다”며 “금정산을 생태·문화·휴식이 어우러진 공간으로 조성해 **K-등산, 사찰 명상, 지역 먹거리** 등 부산 대표 관광상품으로 육성하겠다”고 밝혔다.

Busan Mayor Park Heong-joon, local lawmakers, city council members, district mayors, the Geumjeongsan National Park Citizens’ Promotion Headquarters, Beomeosa Temple, civic and environmental groups joined the celebration.

 

Geumjeongsan was officially designated as a national park last month following final approval from the National Park Committee. As the first mountain adjacent to an urban area to receive such status, the designation carries historic meaning and reflects years of cooperative efforts by citizens, organizations, and public institutions.

 

Ceremony Features Honors, Performances, and Citizen Participation

The event opened with a performance by the fusion band “Vista,” followed by a presentation and promotional video detailing the national park designation process.

 

To acknowledge long-term contributions to the effort, the city presented appreciation plaques to key individuals and groups, including: * Kang Jong-in, Head of the Geumjeongsan National Park Citizens' Promotion Headquarter, * Lee Yun-hee, Chair of Beomeosa Temple’s Lay Association, * Moon Chang-gyu, Deputy Director at the Korea National Park Service

 

An LED lighting ceremony symbolically gathered citizens’ hopes into an illuminated depiction of Geumjeongsan, celebrating the official recognition. Additional performances by breaking crew “CAYCREW” and local singer “Cyberger” heightened the festive atmosphere.

 

Busan Aims to Build a Model Urban National Park and Stay-type Tourism Hub

The city announced plans to strengthen collaboration with the Korea National Park Service, experts, and community organizations to ensure Geumjeongsan’s stable development as a national park. Busan will support ecological conservation through regular information-sharing and administrative measures, while also improving safety, trail facilities, and visitor management.

 

Mayor Park emphasized, “Today’s celebration marks our first step together as we embrace Geumjeongsan’s national park status. It is also the beginning of a renewed commitment to preserve its value for future generations.”

 

He added, “To grow as a global hub city, Busan needs strong stay-type tourism content. Geumjeongsan will enrich Busan’s offerings in leisure, scenery, and cultural experiences. We will develop it into a space where ecology, culture, and relaxation come together—advancing K-hiking, temple meditation programs, and local food as signature Busan attractions.”
