[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 부산 도모헌이 개관 1년 3개월 만에 누적 방문객 40만 명을 돌파했다. 

부산시는 따뜻한 연말 분위기를 시민과 함께 나누기 위해 12월 24일과 25일 양일간 ‘2025 도모헌 연말 가족사랑 이벤트’를 개최한다고 17일 밝혔다.

이번 행사는 도모헌의 성장을 기념하고 크리스마스 시즌을 맞은 시민들에게 휴식과 문화를 동시에 즐길 수 있는 특별한 시간을 제공하기 위해 마련됐다.  

공연과 체험으로 즐기는 따뜻한 연말  

본관에서는 ‘가족뮤지컬 공연’과 ‘크리스마스 콘서트’가 열려 가족 단위 방문객들에게 따뜻한 감동을 선사한다. 또한 시의 소통 캐릭터 ‘부기’와 함께하는 포토타임을 비롯해 전통놀이 체험존, 머그컵 만들기·비즈공예·캘리그래피 등 다양한 체험 프로그램이 운영된다.

시민 누구나 무료로 참여할 수 있으며, 일부 공연은 도모헌 공식 누리집(busan.go.kr/domoheon)을 통한 사전 예약제로 진행된다.  

특별 연장 운영으로 더 많은 시민 맞이  

시는 시민들이 겨울밤의 낭만을 함께 즐길 수 있도록 24일에는 운영 시간을 밤 9시까지로 연장하며, 25일 크리스마스 당일에도 특별 개방한다. 이어 12월 30일과 31일 양일간은 밤 10시까지 운영 시간을 늘려 시민들이 한 해의 마지막을 도모헌에서 여유롭게 보낼 수 있도록 했다. 내년 초까지는 겨울철 분위기에 어울리는 문화 프로그램을 이어가며 도모헌을 시민의 대표 문화휴식 공간으로 자리매김시킬 계획이다.  

빛·휴식·예술이 어우러진 겨울정원  

겨울철 도모헌은 빛과 예술이 조화를 이루는 공간으로 변신한다. 부산 제1호 생활정원인 ‘소소풍정원’에는 은은한 갈대 조명과 별빛 전구가 설치돼 따뜻한 산책로가 조성됐으며, 본관 내부에는 대형 크리스마스트리와 겨울 오브제가 포토존을 연출한다.

기존 전시공간이었던 1층은 ‘소소풍라운지’로 새롭게 단장돼 시민이 자유롭게 머물며 독서와 휴식을 즐길 수 있는 열린 공간으로 탈바꿈했다.  

미디어파사드로 그리는 도모헌의 이야기  

내년 1월부터 2월 말까지는 도모헌 외벽을 활용한 미디어파사드 전시가 진행된다. 도모헌의 과거와 현재, 그리고 변화의 과정을 미디어아트로 표현해 색다른 볼거리를 선사할 예정이며, 전시와 함께 공연 등 부대행사도 함께 열린다. 도심 속 겨울밤에 감각적인 문화체험을 더해 시민들에게 특별한 추억을 선물할 것으로 기대된다.  

박형준 부산시장은 “도모헌이 시민 여러분의 사랑으로 40만 명 방문을 돌파하게 돼 매우 뜻깊다”며 “이번 연말 가족사랑 이벤트를 통해 시민들이 가족과 함께 따뜻한 추억을 남기고, 도모헌이 일상 속 문화쉼터로 자리잡도록 다양한 콘텐츠를 지속적으로 기획해 나가겠다”고 말했다.

Busan’s Domoheon has welcomed more than 400,000 visitors just 15 months after its opening.  

The Busan Metropolitan Government announced on December 17 that it will host the 2025 Domoheon Year-End Family Love Event on December 24 and 25 to share the warmth of the holiday season with citizens. The event celebrates Domoheon’s milestone and aims to offer families an opportunity to enjoy both rest and cultural experiences during the festive period.  

A warm year-end filled with performances and activities  

A family musical and a Christmas concert will take place inside the main building, delighting visitors with lively performances. Photo sessions with the city’s communication mascot “Bookie,” traditional games, and hands-on activities such as mug-making, bead crafts, and calligraphy will also be available. All programs are free of charge, with some requiring advance online reservations through Domoheon’s official website (busan.go.kr/domoheon).  

Extended hours to welcome more visitors  

To allow more citizens to enjoy the romance of winter nights, Domoheon will stay open until 9 p.m. on December 24 and will remain open on Christmas Day as well. On December 30 and 31, the venue will extend its operating hours until 10 p.m., providing citizens with a relaxing place to wrap up the year. Seasonal cultural programs will continue into early next year as the city works to further establish Domoheon as a leading cultural retreat for residents.  

A garden of light, rest, and art  

This winter, Domoheon transforms into a luminous space combining art and light. At Sosopung Garden, Busan’s first lifestyle garden, warm reed-inspired lighting and starlit bulbs create a cozy walking path, while a giant Christmas tree and seasonal decorations inside the main hall provide picturesque photo spots. The first floor, formerly used as an exhibition space, has been renewed into Sosopung Lounge, a relaxing area furnished with books, tables, and chairs for citizens to freely enjoy.  

Telling Domoheon’s story through media facade art  

From January to the end of February next year, Domoheon’s outer walls will turn into a media facade exhibition depicting the site’s history and transformation through visual media art. Complementary performances and side events will accompany the display, adding a touch of artistic flair to Busan’s winter evenings.  

Busan Mayor Park Heong-joon said, “It is deeply meaningful that Domoheon has welcomed 400,000 visitors thanks to our citizens’ great support.” He added, “Through this year-end family event, I hope citizens will create warm memories with their loved ones. We will continue to develop diverse programs so that Domoheon becomes a familiar part of daily cultural life for everyone.”
