[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 한국해양진흥공사가 2026년 새해 첫 외부 일정으로 순국선열과 순직선원을 추모하며, 종합 해양지원기관으로서의 책임과 비전을 새롭게 다졌다.  

해진공 안병길 사장과 임직원 20여 명은 7일 오전 부산 중앙공원 충혼탑과 영도구 순직선원 위령비를 차례로 찾아 헌화하고 참배했다.  

이번 일정은 국가 해양산업 발전을 위해 헌신한 순국선열과 산업현장에서 희생된 선원들의 숭고한 뜻을 기리고, 해양강국 실현에 앞장서는 해진공의 사회적 책무를 되새기기 위해 마련됐다.  

안병길 사장은 충혼탑에서 분향과 묵념을 마친 뒤 방명록에 “호국영령의 뜻을 받들어 해양강국과 부산 해양수도 실현, 그리고 해진공이 추진하는 12개 주요 사업에 박차를 가하겠다”는 새해 각오를 남겼다.  

해진공은 올해 △해운재건 지원 △해양금융 확대 △친환경·스마트 해운 전환 등 12개 핵심 사업을 중심으로 우리나라 해양산업의 경쟁력 강화와 지속 가능한 발전 기반 마련에 속도를 낼 계획이다.  

부산을 대표하는 해양기관으로서 해진공은 앞으로도 산업현장과 국민이 체감할 수 있는 해양정책 지원을 통해 ‘해양수도 부산’ 실현에 힘을 쏟을 방침이다.

The Korea Ocean Business Corporation (KOBC, President Ahn Byung-gil) began 2026 with a solemn tribute to fallen patriots and seafarers who lost their lives at sea, reaffirming its role and vision as a comprehensive maritime support institution.  

On January 7, President Ahn and about 20 employees visited the Memorial Tower in Jungang Park and the Memorial Monument for Deceased Seafarers in Yeongdo-gu, Busan, to lay flowers and pay their respects.  

The ceremony was held to honor those who dedicated their lives to the nation’s maritime industry and to reflect on KOBC’s social responsibility as a leading institution supporting Korea’s maritime development.  

After offering incense and a moment of silence at the Memorial Tower, President Ahn wrote in the guest book, “We will honor the spirit of our fallen heroes by realizing a strong maritime nation, advancing Busan as the maritime capital, and accelerating KOBC’s 12 key projects.”  

This year, KOBC plans to focus on 12 major initiatives, including support for shipping industry revitalization, expansion of maritime finance, and the transition toward eco-friendly and smart shipping. Through these efforts, the corporation aims to strengthen Korea’s maritime competitiveness and foster sustainable growth in the marine sector.  

As Busan’s leading maritime institution, KOBC plans to continue supporting practical maritime policies that benefit both industry and the public, contributing to the realization of “Busan, the Maritime Capital of Korea.”
