[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 국민의힘 한기호 의원(국회 국방위)이 국방부의 북한 인민군 차단용 장애물 철거 움직임에 대해 전술적 가치를 완전히 무시한 처사라며 강력히 성토했다. 

한 의원은 장애물 철거가 북괴 기계화부대의 전투력 소모와 시간 지연이라는 아군의 핵심 방어 전략을 무력화하는 행위라고 규정하며, 대체 대안이나 워게임 데이터조차 없는 무모한 조치를 즉각 중단하라고 촉구했다.

한 의원은 18일 자신의 사회관계망서비스(SNS)를 통해 안규백 국방부 장관의 관련 브리핑을 언급하며 "큰일을 내고 있다"고 깊은 우려를 표명했다. 한 의원은 북한군이 여전히 대량의 기계화부대를 보유하고 있는 상황에서 현존하는 차단 장애물을 미리 제거해 주는 것은 있을 수 없는 일이라고 지적했다.

한 의원은 전술적으로 완벽히 극복 불가능한 장애물은 없지만, 적이 이를 극복하는 과정에서 막대한 시간과 수단을 투입하게 만들어 아군이 시간을 벌고 적의 전투력을 소모시키는 것이 장애물의 본질적 기능이라고 설명했다.

또한 장애물은 흐르는 물줄기의 방향을 돌리듯 적을 아군이 원하는 방향으로 유도하고, 장애물에 봉착해 밀집된 적을 가장 쉽고 효율적으로 파괴할 수 있는 핵심 수단이라고 강조했다.

이어 한 의원은 이번 조치가 북한 김정은의 요구에 의한 것인지 따져 물으며, 최소한 워게임을 통한 데이터 검증이나 대체할 수 있는 대안이라도 강구했느냐고 반문했다. 한 의원은 오랜 시간 동안 군 선배들이 전술적 토의와 노력을 통해 구축해 놓은 방어선을 파괴하는 행위는 명백한 이적행위라며 국방부의 조치에 대해 날선 비판을 가했다.

Han Ki-ho, a lawmaker from the People Power Party, strongly denounced the Ministry of National Defense’s (MND) moves to remove defensive obstacles designed to block the North Korean People's Army, calling it an act that completely disregards tactical value.

Defining the removal of these obstacles as a move that neutralizes the military's core defense strategy—which relies on delaying the enemy and exhausting the combat capabilities of North Korea's mechanized units—Han urged an immediate halt to this reckless measure, pointing out the lack of any alternative plans or war-game data.

On the 18th, lawmaker Han Ki-ho took to his social media account to express deep concern over the defense minister's briefing on the matter, stating, "They are causing a massive disaster." Han pointed out that with North Korea still maintaining a large number of mechanized units, pre-emptively removing existing containment obstacles is an unacceptable course of action.

Han explained that while no obstacle is tactically impossible to overcome, their fundamental function is to force the enemy to invest massive amounts of time and resources during the process, thereby buying time for friendly forces and exhausting the enemy's combat power. He also emphasized that obstacles serve as a critical means to guide the enemy into desired directions—much like altering the flow of running water—and to destroy them in the easiest and most efficient manner by causing them to stall and bunch up upon hitting the barriers.

Furthermore, Han questioned whether this measure was ordered by North Korean leader Kim Jong-un for the sake of inter-Korean dialogue, asking if they had even extracted verification data through war games or devised any alternative solutions. Han sharply criticized the MND's actions, stating that destroying a defensive line built over a long period through the tactical discussions and immense efforts of military predecessors is a clear act of aiding the enemy.
