[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 부산 감천항에 장기간 매여 있던 러시아 선박이 강풍 등으로 계류줄이 터지면서 항내를 표류했으나 해양경찰의 즉각적인 대응으로 추가 피해를 막았다.

부산해양경찰서는 오늘(10일) 새벽 사하구 감천항 제1부두에 계류 중이던 398톤급 공선 러시아 선적 A호의 계류줄이 풀려 표류하는 사고가 발생해 신속히 안전 고정작업을 마쳤다고 발표했다.

해경에 따르면, 사고 당시 A호는 계류줄이 모두 끊어지며 부두에서 약 15m가량 밀려나간 상태였다. 해경은 새벽 4시 37분경 감천항 초소 직원으로부터 신고를 접수한 직후 감천파출소 연안구조정과 경비함정을 현장에 급파하고 민간 예인선에 지원을 요청했다. 

현장에 도착한 해경은 경찰관을 선박에 투입해 부두와 다시 계류줄을 연결했으며, 민간 예인선을 동원해 선박이 더 이상 밀리지 않도록 밀림 방지 조치를 취했다. 사고 선박 내부에는 승선원이 없었고 주변 선박과의 충돌도 발생하지 않아 인명 및 물적 피해는 없는 것으로 확인됐다.

해경 조사 결과 A호는 경매 절차가 진행 중인 감수보존선박으로 지난 2021년부터 감천항에 마땅한 관리자 없이 계류되어 있던 것으로 나타났다. 해양경찰은 선박 대리점 등을 상대로 자세한 사고 경위와 계류 상태를 조사하고 있다.

A Russian vessel moored for a prolonged period at Gamcheon Port in Busan broke free and began drifting inside the harbor after its mooring lines snapped, but immediate response by the Coast Guard prevented secondary damage.

The Busan Coast Guard announced that early this morning (10th), the 398-ton unladen Russian-flagged Vessel A, which was berthed at Pier 1 of Gamcheon Port in Saha-gu, drifted after its mooring lines broke, prompting swift securing operations.

Upon receiving a report from a Gamcheon Port watchman at around 4:37 AM, the Coast Guard dispatched a coastal rescue boat from the Gamcheon station and a patrol vessel while requesting support from private tugboats.

Upon arrival, officers found that all mooring lines on Vessel A had snapped and the ship had drifted about 15 meters from the pier. Coast Guard officers boarded the vessel to reattach mooring lines to the pier while private tugboats were deployed to prevent further drifting. No casualties or collision damage to nearby vessels occurred as no crew members were aboard.

Investigations revealed that Vessel A is a court-preserved vessel undergoing auction proceedings and had been moored at Gamcheon Port since 2021. The Coast Guard is currently investigating the exact circumstances of the incident with the shipping agency.
