[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 부산시장이 취임 후 첫 공공기관장 인사로 부산사회서비스원장에 손지현 신라대학교 상담치료복지학과 교수를 임명했다. 임명장 수여식은 오는 18일 오후 시청 7층 의전실에서 진행되며, 손지현 원장의 임기는 이날부터 3년이다.

이번 인사는 민선 9기 시정 체제에서 처음 단행된 공공기관장 임명이다. 손지현 신임 원장은 2015년 3월부터 신라대학교에서 강의와 연구를 이어오며 지역사회 통합 돌봄, 지역사회보장협의체, 민관협력 기반 등 사회복지 정책과 행정 분야에서 10년 넘게 학술·정책 연구 및 지역사회 활동을 해왔다

손 원장은 “부산시, 복지·의료기관 등과 협력 체계를 강화해 시민 누구나 체감할 수 있는 통합적 사회서비스 전달 체계를 마련하고, 복지 빅데이터 분석과 시민·현장 의견을 반영해 부산형 사회서비스 모델을 지속적으로 발굴하겠다”고 소감을 밝혔다. 

전재수 시장은 “복지 분야에서 연구와 현장의 목소리를 융합해 지역사회 돌봄·복지 서비스의 공공성과 품질 향상을 이끌어갈 적임자”라며 “빈틈없는 돌봄 안전망을 확보해 시민이 신뢰하는 사회서비스 발전에 최선을 다해달라”고 당부했다. 

[Here is the English version of the article] Busan’s mayor has appointed Son Ji-hyeon, a professor in the Department of Counseling, Therapy and Welfare at Silla University, as the new head of the Busan Social Service Institute, marking the first public institution leadership appointment since taking office. 

The certificate-of-appointment ceremony is to held at 2:50 p.m. on Aug. 18 in the protocol room on the seventh floor of City Hall, and Son’s term runs for three years starting that day.

The appointment is drawing attention as the first public institution chief named under the Minseon Term 9 administration.  Son has been a professor at Silla University since March 2015, accumulating more than a decade of academic and policy research and community activity in social welfare, with expertise in community-based integrated care, community welfare councils, and public–private cooperation frameworks.

Son said she will strengthen cooperation with the city and welfare and medical institutions to establish an integrated social service delivery system that citizens can feel in daily life, and will use welfare big data analysis and feedback from citizens and frontline workers to continuously develop a “Busan-style” social service model. 

The mayor described Son as well-suited to merge research insights with on-the-ground voices to improve the public character and quality of local care and welfare services, and urged her to secure a seamless care safety net and devote herself to advancing social services that citizens can trust.
