[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 부산시는 산업현장에서 숙련기술 발전과 지역 산업 경쟁력 향상에 기여한 우수 숙련기술인을 발굴하기 위해 ‘2026년 부산광역시명장’ 선정계획을 공고하고 18일부터 다음 달 18일까지 신청을 받는다고 밝혔다.

부산광역시명장은 산업현장에서 높은 수준의 기술력과 전문성을 갖추고 숙련기술 발전에 기여한 기술인을 선정해 예우하는 제도다. 올해로 9회째를 맞으며, 부산시는 38개 분야 86개 직종에서 10명 이내를 선정할 예정이다.

선정된 명장에게는 부산광역시명장 칭호와 함께 인증서와 인증패가 수여된다. 또 기술장려금으로 1인당 1천만 원을 2년간 연 500만 원씩 지급한다.

신청 대상은 동일 분야와 직종의 산업현장에서 15년 이상 종사한 사람이다. 신청일 현재 부산시에 3년 이상 거주하면서 부산 소재 사업장에 근무하고 있어야 하며, 지역 숙련기술 발전이나 숙련기술자의 지위 향상에 크게 기여한 경력이 있어야 한다. 동일 분야의 부산광역시명장이나 대한민국명장으로 선정된 경력이 있는 경우에는 신청할 수 없다.

신청을 원하는 사람은 거주지 또는 사업장 소재지를 관할하는 구청장·군수, 부산지역 기업체 대표, 시 단위 업종별 협회장, 숙련기술 관련 비영리법인 또는 단체장의 추천을 받아 신청서를 제출하면 된다.

신청서는 부산시 연제구 중앙대로 1001, 21층 일자리노동과에 방문하거나 우편으로 제출할 수 있다. 신청 자격과 심사 절차, 일정 등 자세한 내용은 부산시 누리집 고시공고에서 확인할 수 있다.

Busan Metropolitan City announced Tuesday that it will accept applications from Aug. 18 to Sept. 18 for its 2026 Busan Master Craftspeople program, which recognizes skilled workers who have contributed to the development of local industries through their expertise and craftsmanship.

The Busan Master Craftspeople program selects skilled workers with a high level of technical expertise and professional experience who have contributed to the advancement of skilled trades in industrial workplaces. This year marks the ninth round of the program.

The city plans to select up to 10 master craftspeople from 86 occupations across 38 fields. Those selected will receive the official title of Busan Master Craftsperson, along with a certificate and an accreditation plaque. Each recipient will also receive a total of 10 million won in technical development incentives over two years, with 5 million won provided annually.

Applicants must have worked in the same field and occupation for at least 15 years. They must also have lived in Busan for at least three years as of the application date and currently work at a business located in the city. In addition, applicants must have made significant contributions to the development of skilled trades in the region or to improving the status of skilled workers.

Those who have previously been selected as a Busan Master Craftsperson or a Korea Master Craftsman in the same field are not eligible to apply.

Applicants must obtain a recommendation from the head of the district or county where they live or work, the head of a company located in Busan, the head of a city-level industry association, or the head of a nonprofit organization or group related to skilled trades.

Applications may be submitted in person or by mail to the Busan Metropolitan Government’s Jobs and Labor Division on the 21st floor of 1001 Jungang-daero, Yeonje-gu, Busan.
