[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 부산 남구의 한 지역 카페가 추석을 앞두고 지역 내 어려운 이웃과 복지시설을 위한 라면 1,000박스를 기탁하며 꾸준한 나눔을 실천했다.

지역 카페 ‘지밀레니얼’ 박현수 대표는 지난 1일 부산 남구에 저소득층과 복지시설 지원을 위해 라면 1,000박스를 전달했다. 기탁 물품은 총 1,320만원 상당이다.

박현수 대표는 2020년부터 매년 지역사회를 위한 성금과 성품을 기부하며 꾸준히 나눔 활동을 이어오고 있다.

박 대표는 이날 전달식에서 “지역의 어려운 이웃들에게 조금이나마 도움이 되길 바라는 마음으로 성품을 준비했다”며 “앞으로도 지역사회와 함께할 수 있는 나눔 활동을 꾸준히 이어가겠다”고 말했다.

박재범 부산 남구청장은 “해마다 잊지 않고 꾸준히 이웃사랑을 실천하며 남구의 복지 울타리를 든든하게 채워주시는 박현수 대표님께 깊이 감사드린다”며 “기탁받은 성품은 도움의 손길이 필요한 관내 저소득층과 복지시설에 잘 전달하겠다”고 밝혔다.

이번에 기탁된 라면 1,000박스는 부산사회복지공동모금회를 통해 남구 지역의 저소득층 가구와 주요 복지시설에 전달될 예정이다.

남구는 지역사회 내 지속적인 나눔과 후원이 취약계층의 생활 안정에 도움이 될 수 있도록 민간기관 및 지역사회와 협력해 복지 지원을 이어갈 계획이다.

A local cafe in Busan has donated 1,000 boxes of instant noodles to help low-income residents and welfare facilities in Nam District.

Jimeillennial, a local cafe led by owner Park Hyun-soo, donated the food items to Nam District on Sept. 1. The donation is valued at approximately 13.2 million won, or about $9,500.

Park has been supporting the local community through annual donations of money and goods since 2020, continuing his efforts to help neighbors in need.

“I prepared these donations hoping they can provide even a little help to people in our community who are facing difficulties,” Park said at the donation ceremony. “I will continue to support the community and take part in charitable activities.”

Nam District Mayor Park Jae-beom expressed his appreciation for Park’s continued support.

“We sincerely thank Mr. Park for consistently showing his care for our neighbors and helping strengthen the local welfare network year after year,” the mayor said. “We will make sure the donated goods reach low-income residents and welfare facilities that need support.”

The 1,000 boxes of instant noodles will be distributed to low-income households and major welfare facilities throughout Nam District through the Busan Community Chest of Korea.

Nam District said it will continue working with local businesses and community organizations to expand private-sector support and provide assistance to vulnerable residents.
