[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 부산 사상공업지역이 스마트 산업과 문화가 어우러진 혁신 거점으로 변모한다. 박형준 부산시장은 31일 오후 2시 30분 사상구 부산테크노파크 엄궁단지에서 제5차 기업 혁신성장 릴레이 간담회를 열고, 지역 기업 현장의 목소리를 정책에 적극 반영하겠다고 밝혔다.

이번 5차 간담회에는 박형준 시장을 비롯해 시 주요 관계자, 사상기업발전협의회 황시동 회장 등 사상공업지역 기업 대표 20명이 참석했다. 간담회에서는 기업 애로사항과 혁신 성장 전략을 폭넓게 논의하고, 사상스마트시티 조성사업 조속 추진, 근로환경 개선, 산업 경쟁력 강화를 위한 구체적 방안이 공유됐다.

사상스마트시티 조성 및 산업단지 경쟁력 강화

부산시는 권역별 산업단지의 현장 수요를 반영한 맞춤형 정책 지원체계를 강화하고 있다. 낡은 공업단지를 첨단산업과 문화가 어우러진 스마트 거점으로 탈바꿈시키는 사상스마트시티 조성사업의 조속 추진 계획이 논의됐다. 박 시장은 “사상 공업지역은 부산 산업화를 이끈 핵심 거점이자 종갓집으로, 변화의 중심지로 도약할 것”이라고 강조했다.

기업 애로 해소 및 근로환경 개선

참석 기업들은 주차난, 기술·경영·구인 애로 등 다양한 현장 문제를 공유했다. 시는 이를 바탕으로 제조업 기술 지원, 경영 컨설팅, 구인난 해소, 청년문화센터 가변식 체육시설 확충, 중소기업 정책자금 이차보전율 상향, 수출 주력기업 지원 등 실질적 대책을 추진하고 있다.

중동정세...글로벌 리스크 대응

중동 정세 등 글로벌 불확실성 확대에 대응하기 위해 부산시는 지난 3월 4일 ‘중동상황 긴급 점검회의’를 개최했다. 기업 피해 상황을 면밀히 분석하고 3천500억 원 규모 ‘글로벌 리스크 대응 특별자금’ 공급, 해외물류비·수출보험료 등 22억 원 규모 수출기업 지원을 확대했다.

지역경제 활성화 및 일자리 지원

부산시는 지역특화 일자리사업을 통해 중소 제조업의 채용장려금, 채용 연계 환경 개선, 혁신성장 지원 등 고용 안정과 성장동력을 강화하고 있다. 공공부문 중심으로 지역상품 구매율 70% 달성을 목표로 하며, 민간 참여를 유도하는 정책도 병행하고 있다.

릴레이 간담회 현황

이번 5차 간담회는 장안산단(1차, 2025년 10월), 명례·정관산단(2차, 2025년 11월), 부산과학·강서·풍상·지사2산단(3차, 2025년 12월), 미음·국제산단(4차, 2026년 1월)에 이어 진행되는 행사다. 부산시는 릴레이 간담회를 통해 접수된 현장 의견을 지속적으로 정책에 반영하고 있다.

박 시장은 “제조업 중심지인 사상 공업지역은 부산의 산업화를 이끈 핵심 거점이자 종갓집으로, 사상 드림스마트시티로 도약을 앞둔 변화의 중심지이다”라며, “낡은 공업지역의 이미지를 넘어 첨단산업과 문화가 어우러진 스마트 거점으로 거듭날 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”라고 전할 예정이다.

The Sasang Industrial Area in Busan is set to transform into a smart hub combining advanced industry and culture. On March 31, Mayor Park Hyung-jun hosted the fifth Corporate Innovation Growth Relay Meeting at the Busan Technopark Eomgung Complex in Sasang District, emphasizing the city’s commitment to reflecting local businesses’ voices in policy-making.

The meeting brought together Mayor Park, key city officials, and 20 representatives from Sasang-based companies, including Hwang Si-dong, chairman of the Sasang Business Development Council. Participants discussed the challenges businesses face and strategies for innovation, focusing on accelerating the Sasang Smart City project, improving working conditions, and strengthening the area’s industrial competitiveness.

Sasang Smart City and Industrial Competitiveness

Busan City is enhancing a tailored policy support system based on the needs of each industrial zone. Discussions centered on fast-tracking the Sasang Smart City project and transforming the aging industrial district into a smart hub that integrates advanced industry and culture. Mayor Park highlighted that Sasang is a cornerstone of Busan’s industrialization and a key area for future growth.

Addressing Business Challenges and Improving Work Environment

Local businesses raised concerns including parking shortages, technical and management difficulties, and workforce recruitment challenges. The city has responded with practical measures such as technical support for manufacturers, management consulting, workforce assistance, flexible sports facilities at the youth cultural center, higher interest subsidy rates for small business loans, and export support for leading companies.

Responding to Global Risks

In response to global uncertainties, particularly the Middle East situation, the city held an emergency review meeting on March 4. Busan has allocated 350 billion won in special funds to mitigate global risks and provided 2.2 billion won in support for export companies, including logistics and export insurance costs.

Stimulating Local Economy and Employment

Through regional job projects, Busan City supports employment stability and growth for small and medium manufacturers with hiring incentives, workplace improvements, and innovation grants. The city also aims to achieve a 70 percent local product purchase rate in the public sector while encouraging private participation to boost the local economy.

Relay Meetings and Policy Impact

The fifth meeting follows a series of relay meetings at other industrial areas: Jangan Industrial Complex in October 2025, Myeongrye and Jeonggwan Industrial Complexes in November 2025, Busan Science, Gangseo, Pungsang, and Jisa2 complexes in December 2025, and Mium and International complexes in January 2026. Insights collected from these meetings continue to shape city policies.

Mayor Park said, “The Sasang Industrial Area, a hub of manufacturing, has been a key center driving Busan’s industrialization and a foundational stronghold. It is now at the heart of change as it prepares to transform into Sasang Dream Smart City. We will do our utmost to ensure it evolves beyond its old industrial image into a smart hub where advanced industry and culture coexist.”
