브레이크뉴스 박동제 기자= 소속사 하이브 레이블 빅히트뮤직은 8일 “그룹 방탄소년단(BTS / RM, 진, 슈가, 제이홉, 지민, 뷔, 정국)의 남미 투어 회차가 추가됐다”고 밝혔다.

방탄소년단은 8일 글로벌 슈퍼팬 플랫폼 위버스(Weverse)에 올린 공지문을 통해 오는 10월 개최되는 남미 투어 중 페루 리마, 칠레 산티아고, 아르헨티나 부에노스아이레스 공연을 각 1회씩 추가한다고 알렸다. 이로써 ‘BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’’은 총 34개 도시에서 85회에 걸쳐 펼쳐진다.

특히 방탄소년단은 남미에서 의미 있는 이정표를 세우고 있다. 이들은 한국 가수 최초로 콜롬비아 보고타의 에스타디오 엘 캄핀(Estadio El CampÍn)과 부에노스아이레스의 에스타디오 우니코 데 라 플라타(Estadio Único de La Plata)에 입성한다. 또한 산티아고의 에스타디오 나시오날(Estadio Nacional)에서 처음으로 단독 콘서트를 여는 한국 가수가 됐다.

방탄소년단은 콜롬비아, 페루, 아르헨티나에 완전체로 첫 방문한다. 그만큼 현지 음악팬의 기대가 뜨겁다. 페루에서는 공연을 앞두고 팬들이 마추픽추 역사보호구역 ‘100만 그루 나무 심기’ 캠페인에 적극 참여하고 공공 공간 정비 등 다양한 활동을 펼치면서 방탄소년단을 맞이할 준비에 나섰다.

한편, 방탄소년단은 오는 9일 고양종합운동장 주경기장에서 ‘BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’’을 시작한다. 고양에서 3일 동안 관객들과 만난 뒤 17~18일 일본으로 넘어가 도쿄돔에서 무대를 선보인다. 이번 투어는 360도 무대를 적용해 관객들에게 압도적인 몰입감을 선사할 예정이다.

뜨거운 관심 속 고양, 도쿄, 북미와 유럽 투어를 포함해 총 46회 공연이 이미 매진됐다. 글로벌 공연 기획사 라이브네이션에 따르면 방탄소년단은 북미와 유럽 41회 공연만으로 약 240만 장의 티켓을 판매했다. 

또한 이들은 북미 지역의 엘파소 선 볼 스타디움, 스탠퍼드 스타디움, 폭스버러 질레트 스타디움, 볼티모어 M&T 뱅크 스타디움, 알링턴 AT&T 스타디움에서 한국 가수 최초로 단독 공연에 나서는 등 공연계에 유의미한 족적을 남기고 있다.

BTS Adds Performances to Peru, Chile, and Argentina in South America... Total 85 World Tour Shows

First Korean Singers to Perform at Stadiums in Bogota and Buenos Aires

Break News Reporter Park Dong-je = On the 8th, Big Hit Music, the agency of the group HYBE label, announced, “Additional shows have been added to the group BTS’s (RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, Jungkook) South American tour.”

Through a notice posted on the global superfan platform Weverse on the 8th, BTS announced that they have added one additional show each in Lima, Peru; Santiago, Chile; and Buenos Aires, Argentina, to their South American tour scheduled for this coming October. With this, the ‘BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’’ will be held across a total of 85 shows in 34 cities.

In particular, BTS is setting significant milestones in South America. They will become the first Korean singers to perform at Estadio El CampÍn in Bogotá, Colombia, and Estadio Único de La Plata in Buenos Aires. They have also become the first Korean artists to hold a solo concert at Estadio Nacional in Santiago.

BTS is making their first full-group visits to Colombia, Peru, and Argentina. As such, expectations among local music fans are incredibly high. In Peru, ahead of the concert, fans have begun preparations to welcome BTS by actively participating in the "Plant 1 Million Trees" campaign at the Machu Picchu Historic Reserve and carrying out various activities such as maintaining public spaces.

Meanwhile, BTS will kick off the "BTS WORLD TOUR 'ARIRANG'" at the Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium on the 9th. After meeting with audiences in Goyang for three days, they will head to Japan on the 17th and 18th to perform at the Tokyo Dome. This tour is set to provide audiences with an overwhelming sense of immersion by utilizing a 360-degree stage.

Amidst intense interest, a total of 46 performances, including those in Goyang, Tokyo, and the North American and European tours, have already sold out. According to global concert promoter Live Nation, BTS sold approximately 2.4 million tickets for the 41 performances in North America and Europe alone.

Furthermore, they are leaving a significant mark on the concert industry, becoming the first Korean artists to hold solo concerts at venues in North America such as El Paso Sunball Stadium, Stanford Stadium, Foxborough Gillette Stadium, Baltimore M&T Bank Stadium, and Arlington AT&T Stadium.
