[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 부산시는 시민과 귀성객이 안전하고 따뜻한 설 명절을 보낼 수 있도록 7개 분야 66개 과제로 구성된 ‘2026 설 명절 종합대책’을 추진한다고 9일 밝혔다.

시는 이번 대책을 통해 민생경제 회복과 지역상권 활성화, 재난·안전 관리, 의료·교통·생활 편의 강화 등 시민들이 안심하고 명절을 보낼 수 있는 여건을 조성한다는 방침이다.

민생경제 분야에서는 지역화폐 ‘동백전’ 소비 이벤트를 비롯해 전통시장 온누리상품권 할인·환급 행사, 2천400억 원 규모의 중소기업‧소상공인 정책자금 조기 공급 등을 추진해 지역 소비를 촉진한다. 시는 구·군, 유관기관과 함께 물가대책종합상황실을 운영해 설 물가 안정에도 총력을 기울인다.

복지 대책으로는 저소득층, 독거노인, 쪽방거주민 등 5만1천 세대에 총 32억 원 상당의 성금과 성품을 지원한다. 연휴 전후로는 독거노인 안전 확인, 무료 특식 제공, 응급잠자리 운영, 성묘·봉안시설 운영 시간 연장 등을 통해 복지공백을 최소화할 계획이다.

시민 안전을 위해 재난상황실 24시간 운영, 소방 특별경계근무, 산불방지대책본부 운영 등 상시 대응 체계를 가동한다. 또 다중이용시설 529곳과 대규모 행사 12건을 집중 점검해 재난 요인을 사전에 차단한다.  

보건의료 분야에서는 38개 응급의료기관의 24시간 진료체계를 유지하고, 시-보건소-소방본부 간 핫라인을 구축한다. 설 당일 운영하는 병의원과 약국에는 지원금을 지급하며, 공공심야 약국 18곳도 운영한다.

교통 편의도 강화된다. 시는 설 연휴 4일간(2월 15~18일) 광안대교, 거가대로, 부산항대교 등 유료도로 7곳의 통행료를 면제하고, 고속버스와 철도 운행을 평시보다 하루 평균 186회 늘려 귀성객 이동 편의를 높인다.

이 밖에도 시티투어버스 이벤트, 태종대 전통문화 체험, 수목원 운영 등 문화·관광 프로그램을 마련해 지역 관광 활성화에도 나선다.

시는 설 연휴 동안 1만5천972명의 직원이 행정, 복지, 교통, 환경, 안전 등 8개 대책반을 중심으로 근무에 투입된다. 또한 설 연휴 생활정보를 담은 안내 사이트(busan.go.kr/holiday)를 통해 시민 편의를 지원할 예정이다.

박형준 부산시장은 “설 명절은 시민의 일상이 편안하고 안전하게 유지되는 것이 무엇보다 중요하다”며 “소비 활성화와 물가 안정, 복지 지원을 함께 챙기고, 재난·응급상황에도 24시간 대응해 시민 안전을 지키겠다”고 말했다.

Busan City announced Monday that it will implement a comprehensive set of measures to ensure citizens and visitors enjoy a safe and warm Lunar New Year holiday. The plan includes 66 initiatives across seven key areas, focusing on economic recovery, public safety, healthcare, transportation, and citizen convenience.

To boost the local economy, the city will launch a “Dongbaekjeon” consumption event, offer up to 10% discounts and refunds on traditional market gift certificates, and supply 240 billion won in policy funds to small businesses ahead of schedule. A joint monitoring system with districts and related agencies will also operate to stabilize holiday prices.

For vulnerable groups — including low-income families, seniors living alone, and residents of temporary housing — Busan and local welfare organizations will provide 3.2 billion won worth of donations and goods to about 51,000 households. The city will also conduct safety checks on elderly people living alone, provide free meals to the homeless, extend hours at memorial facilities, and maintain welfare services during the holiday.

To enhance public safety, the city will run a 24-hour disaster response center, place fire departments on alert, and operate a special task force for wildfire prevention. Inspections will be carried out at 529 multiuse facilities and 12 large-scale events to remove potential hazards.

Medical services will continue uninterrupted, with 38 emergency hospitals operating 24-hour service and a hotline linking city offices, public health centers, fire authorities, and hospitals. Clinics and pharmacies open on Lunar New Year’s Day will receive financial support, and 18 public night pharmacies will remain open.

Traffic measures include toll-free access to seven major expressways — including Gwangandaegyo, Geogadaegyo, and Busanhang Bridge — from February 15 to 18. Bus and train capacity will also increase by an average of 186 trips per day to accommodate increased travel demand.

Cultural and tourism events such as city tour promotions, traditional experiences at Taejongdae Park, and extended hours at Hwamyeong and Haeundae arboretums will give residents and visitors more to enjoy during the holiday.

During the holiday period, 15,972 city and district employees will be on duty across eight task forces covering administration, safety, welfare, transport, and more. The city will also operate a special holiday information site (busan.go.kr/holiday) offering essential updates on medical, traffic, and daily life services.

Mayor Park Heong-joon emphasized that ensuring citizens’ comfort and safety during the holiday is the city’s top priority. “Busan will work to boost consumption and stabilize prices while expanding welfare support,” Park said. “We’ll maintain around-the-clock readiness in public safety and medical services to protect citizens throughout the Lunar New Year.”
