[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 부산시가 지역 체육정책의 싱크탱크 역할을 맡을 ‘부산시 체육진흥협의회’를 새롭게 구성했다.  

시는 13일 오전 10시 시청 12층 소회의실에서 체육진흥협의회 신규 위원 위촉식을 열고 첫 회의를 진행했다. 협의회는 국민체육진흥법에 따라 부산시 체육진흥계획 수립과 정책 자문, 국제체육교류 및 스포츠산업 발전 등을 논의하는 최고 협의기구다.  

이번에 위촉된 위원은 시의원 1명, 시 교육청 관계자 1명, 학회 및 협회 관계자 4명, 선수·감독 2명, 교수 3명 등 다양한 분야의 체육 전문가 11명으로 구성됐다. 임기는 2년이며 한 차례 연임할 수 있다.  

이날 위촉식에는 박형준 부산시장과 장인화 부산시체육회장이 참석했다. 이어진 환담에서는 위원들의 소감과 함께 지역 체육 발전 방향, 생활체육 활성화 방안 등이 논의됐다. 회의에서는 2025~2026년 부산시 체육국 주요 업무계획과 올해 추진 과제가 공유됐다.  

박 시장은 “위원님들은 다양한 현장의 경험을 가진 최고의 전문가들”이라며 “시민 누구나 쉽게 접근하고 즐길 수 있는 체감형 체육 정책을 위해 적극적인 활동을 기대한다”고 말했다.  

[Here’s the English version of the article] Busan Mayor Park Hyung-joon Launches ‘Think Tank’ for City Sports Policies

The Busan Metropolitan Government has launched a new “Sports Promotion Council” to serve as a think tank for the city’s sports policies.  

The city held an appointment ceremony for new council members and convened the first meeting on March 13 at City Hall. Established under the National Sports Promotion Act, the council will advise on Busan’s sports promotion plans, related policy initiatives, international sports exchanges, and sports industry development.  

The newly appointed 11 members represent a range of backgrounds, including one city council member, one official from the city’s Office of Education, four from academic or professional associations, two athletes or coaches, and three professors. Each member will serve a two-year term with the option for one reappointment.  

Busan Mayor Park Hyung-joon and Busan Sports Council President Jang In-hwa attended the ceremony. The event included introductory remarks from newly appointed members and discussions on local sports development and community engagement. The meeting also reviewed major achievements in 2025 and outlined the city’s 2026 sports policy plans.  

Mayor Park said the council members are “leading experts with extensive field experience” and expressed his hopes that their work will help shape “accessible and engaging sports policies for all citizens.”
