[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 부산시가 에코델타 스마트시티 국가시범도시의 본격 추진을 알리는 자율주행 모빌리티 서비스를 시작했다.

부산시는 30일 오전 에코델타시티 스마트시티랩에서 자율주행 모빌리티 서비스 오픈식을 개최했다. 행사에는 박형준 시장을 비롯해 국회의원, 강서구청장, 시의원 등 주요 기관 관계자와 한국교통연구원, 한국수자원공사 등 공공기관, 사업법인 관계자들이 참석했다.

이번 오픈식은 에코델타시티 입주민의 이동 편의를 높이기 위한 자율주행버스 운행 시작을 알리고, 인공지능 기반 스마트서비스 실증에 대한 이해를 높이기 위해 마련됐다. 자율주행차량은 라이다, 레이더, 카메라 등 센서 융합 기술을 활용해 보행자와 차량, 신호체계를 실시간으로 인식하며 안정적인 주행 성능을 구현한다.

자율주행버스는 4월부터 주거지역과 스마트빌리지 어반테크하우스를 연결하는 왕복 약 10km 구간, 9개 정류장을 중심으로 시범 운행될 예정이다.

시는 사업법인과 함께 2025년부터 국가시범도시 조성사업을 본격 추진하고 있으며, 기존 로봇서비스에 이어 자율주행 모빌리티 서비스를 도입해 스마트서비스 실증을 확대하고 있다. 또한 운행 과정에서 확보된 주행 데이터와 이용자 의견을 반영해 서비스 안정성과 운영체계를 지속적으로 개선하고, 향후 주요 생활권으로 서비스를 단계적으로 확대할 계획이다.

이와 함께 공동주택 단지를 중심으로 생활밀착형 로봇 서비스 시연과 로봇 통합 관제 플랫폼도 공개됐다. 시연에서는 짐 운반을 지원하는 로봇, 단지 안전 관리를 위한 순찰 로봇, 공용공간을 관리하는 청소 로봇, 음료 제조와 고객 응대를 수행하는 바리스타 로봇 등이 소개됐다. 웹 기반 관제 시스템을 통해 로봇의 위치와 상태, 임무 수행 현황을 실시간으로 확인하고 제어할 수 있다.

부산시는 공공과 민간이 협력하는 도시개발 모델을 통해 시민이 체감할 수 있는 안전하고 편리한 스마트도시 구현에 박차를 가하고 있다. 향후 자율주행 모빌리티와 로봇 서비스를 단계적으로 확대하고, 데이터 기반 도시 운영체계를 고도화해 미래 스마트시티 모델을 구축해 나갈 방침이다.

박형준 시장은 “에코델타 스마트시티 국가시범도시는 풍요로운 일상과 혁신 기술이 공존하는 미래도시를 구현하는 공간”이라며 “첨단 기술을 시민 생활 속에 안정적으로 적용하고 데이터 기반 운영체계를 고도화해 시민이 체감할 수 있는 스마트도시를 만들어 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.

[Here’s an English version of the article] Busan Launches Autonomous Mobility Service in Eco Delta Smart City

Busan has launched an autonomous mobility service to mark the full-scale rollout of the Eco Delta Smart City national pilot project.

The city held an opening ceremony for the service at the Smart City Lab in Eco Delta City on March 30. The event was attended by Busan Mayor Park Heong-joon, along with lawmakers, district officials, city council members, and representatives from public institutions including the Korea Transport Institute and the Korea Water Resources Corp., as well as project stakeholders.

The ceremony was organized to announce the launch of autonomous bus operations aimed at improving mobility for residents and to enhance understanding of AI-based smart service demonstrations. The autonomous vehicles use sensor fusion technology, including LiDAR, radar, and cameras, to recognize pedestrians, vehicles, and traffic signals in real time, ensuring stable driving performance.

Starting in April, autonomous buses will begin pilot operations along a 10-kilometer round-trip route connecting residential areas and the Smart Village Urban Tech House, with nine stops along the route. The city has been advancing the national pilot city project in collaboration with a dedicated project corporation since 2025, expanding smart service demonstrations by introducing autonomous mobility alongside existing robot services. Data collected during operations and user feedback will be used to continuously improve service stability and operational systems, with plans to gradually expand services to major living areas.

In addition, the city showcased community-based robot services and an integrated robot control platform. Demonstrations included robots for luggage delivery, security patrol, cleaning of shared spaces, and barista services for beverage preparation and customer interaction. A web-based control system enables real-time monitoring and management of robot locations, status, and task performance.

Busan plans to accelerate the development of a safe and convenient smart city through a public-private partnership model. The city will expand autonomous mobility and robot services in phases and further advance a data-driven urban management system to build a future smart city model.

Mayor Park Heong-joon said the Eco Delta Smart City pilot project represents “a space where a prosperous daily life and innovative technologies coexist,” adding that the city will “stably integrate advanced technologies into citizens’ daily lives and enhance data-driven operations to create a smart city that people can truly experience.”
