[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 부산 해운대구는 지난 27일 ‘반여문화플러스’ 개소식을 열고 본격적인 운영에 들어갔다.  

반여문화플러스(해운대구 재반로242번길 51-10)는 반여2·3동 도시재생사업의 핵심 거점시설로, 문을 닫은 옛 반여초등학교 별관을 새로운 복합문화공간으로 리모델링한 곳이다. 구는 2024년 11월부터 2025년 12월까지 공사를 진행해 어린이부터 어르신까지 모든 세대가 함께 어울릴 수 있는 열린 문화 공간으로 재탄생시켰다. 과거 교육의 현장이던 학교가 주민이 모여 배우고 소통하는 ‘생활문화 사랑방’으로 거듭난 셈이다.  

지상 5층 규모의 건물은 층별로 다양한 기능을 담았다. 1층에는 카페를 마련해 주민들이 편안하게 머물 수 있도록 했고, 2층에는 ‘반여2·3동 도시재생현장지원센터’와 ‘해운대 여성창의일자리지원센터’가 들어서 상담·교육·취업 연계 등 다양한 서비스를 제공한다. 다목적 교육실과 소회의실, 휴게공간도 함께 갖췄다.  

3층에는 공예실과 프로그램실, 4층에는 정보화 교육장과 72석 규모의 소극장, 작은 갤러리가 위치하며, 5층에는 헬스케어센터가 자리한다. 구는 앞으로 이곳에서 공연과 전시, 교육, 건강 프로그램 등 주민 맞춤형 활동을 폭넓게 운영할 계획이다.  

해운대구 관계자는 “반여문화플러스는 주민들이 일상 속에서 배우고 쉬며 소통할 수 있는 생활문화 거점”이라며 “지역에 활력을 불어넣고 공동체 회복에 기여할 것으로 기대한다”고 말했다.  

한편, 반여2·3동 도시재생사업은 2020년 11월 국토교통부 공모에 선정된 사업으로, 총사업비 200억 원이 투입돼 주거환경 개선과 지역 활력 회복을 목표로 추진되고 있다.

Haeundae-gu District (Mayor Kim Seong-su) held an opening ceremony for “Banyeo Culture Plus” on the 27th, marking the official start of its operation.  

Located at 51-10, Jaeban-ro 242beon-gil, Banyeo Culture Plus serves as a key base facility for the Banyeo 2 and 3-dong Urban Regeneration Project. The building, formerly the annex of the now-closed Banyeo Elementary School, was remodeled between November 2024 and December 2025 into a community-oriented cultural complex where all generations—from children to seniors—can gather, learn, and relax. Once an educational space, it has now been reborn as a “community living room” where residents can connect and share their daily lives.  

The five-story building features a variety of spaces designed to meet local needs. The first floor houses a café offering a relaxing space for residents. On the second floor are the Banyeo 2 and 3-dong Urban Regeneration Site Support Center and the Haeundae Women’s Creative Job Support Center, providing counseling, education, and employment-related services, as well as multipurpose classrooms, small meeting rooms, and lounge areas.  

The third floor includes craft and program rooms, while the fourth features an IT education center, a small 72-seat theater, and a mini gallery. On the fifth floor, a healthcare center offers wellness-focused programs. The district plans to actively use the facility to host performances, exhibitions, educational workshops, and health-related activities tailored to residents’ needs.  

A district official commented, “Banyeo Culture Plus will serve as a vibrant local hub where residents can learn, rest, and interact in their daily lives. We expect it to revitalize the community and help strengthen local ties.”  

The Banyeo 2 and 3-dong Urban Regeneration Project was selected by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport in November 2020 and is being implemented with a total budget of 20 billion KRW to improve the residential environment and boost neighborhood vitality.
