[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 국민의힘 부산광역시당은 2일 오후 부산시당 강당에서 2026년 병오년 새해를 맞아 신년인사회를 열고, 부산의 새로운 도약과 시민과 함께하는 미래를 향한 각오를 다졌다.  

이날 신년인사회에는 정동만 시당위원장을 비롯해 조경태·이헌승·김도읍·김희정·백종헌·박수영·이성권·김미애·김대식·조승환·정연욱·정성국·곽규택·서지영·주진우 국회의원, 박형준 부산시장, 서병수 당협위원장, 안성민 부산시의회 의장, 부산지역 국민의힘 소속 기초단체장 등 주요 당직자들이 참석했다. 참석자들은 새해 인사를 나누며 2026년 부산의 미래 비전과 당의 역할에 대한 뜻을 함께 모았다.  

특히 오는 6월 치러질 제9회 전국동시지방선거의 승리를 다짐하고, 부산의 글로벌 허브도시 도약과 신성장 산업 육성, 청년 일자리 확대, 지역 균형발전 등 주요 현안을 해결하기 위해 시당이 하나로 힘을 모아 나가겠다는 결의를 다짐했다.  

정동만 시당위원장은 “이재명 정부 출범 이후 대한민국이 어려운 국면을 맞고 있다”며 “2026년은 부산과 대한민국의 미래를 위해 매우 중요한 한 해가 될 것”이라고 밝혔다.

그는 “부산은 위기 때마다 나라를 지켜온 최후의 보루였다”며 “이제 부산이 흩어진 보수의 가치를 다시 세우고, 대한민국을 지키는 선봉장이 돼야 한다”고 강조했다. 이어 “시민의 곁으로 더 가까이 다가가도록 노력하겠다”고 덧붙였다.

국민의힘 부산시당은 “2026년 병오년에도 시민 여러분의 삶에 실질적인 변화를 만들어내는 책임 정당으로서, 현장에서 시민과 함께 답을 찾고 행동으로 보여드리겠다”고 다짐했다.  

[Here’s the English version of the news article] People Power Party Busan Chapter Kicks Off New Year, Pledging “A Future with Citizens”  

The Busan Chapter of the People Power Party (PPP), chaired by Rep. Jeong Dong-man, held a New Year’s greeting ceremony on January 2 at its headquarters in Busan, pledging renewed determination for the city’s leap forward and a shared future with its citizens.  

The event brought together key party members, including Reps. Cho Kyoung-tae, Lee Hun-seung, Kim Do-eup, Kim Hee-jung, Baek Jong-heon, Park Soo-young, Lee Sung-kwon, Kim Mi-ae, Kim Dae-sik, Cho Seung-hwan, Jung Yeon-wook, Jung Sung-guk, Kwak Kyu-taek, Seo Ji-young, and Joo Jin-woo, as well as Busan Mayor Park Heong-joon, Party Council Chair Seo Byung-soo, Busan Metropolitan Council Chair Ahn Seong-min, and local party-affiliated district heads. Attendees exchanged New Year greetings and shared views on the city’s future direction and the party’s role in 2026.  

With the 9th nationwide local elections scheduled for June, participants reaffirmed their commitment to winning the race and joining forces to tackle key local issues, including transforming Busan into a global hub city, fostering new growth industries, expanding youth employment, and advancing balanced regional development.  

In his address, Chair Jeong noted current national challenges under President Lee Jae-myung’s administration, calling 2026 “a crucial year for both Busan and the Republic of Korea.” He emphasized Busan’s historic role as “the last bastion defending the nation in times of crisis” and urged the local organization to “unite the conservative values once dispersed and take the lead in safeguarding the country.” He also pledged to reach citizens more closely in everyday life.  

The PPP Busan Chapter pledged to remain a “responsible political organization that delivers tangible changes in citizens’ lives” and vowed to continue listening to and acting alongside the people throughout 2026.
