브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 인천국제공항공사는 이번 설연휴 기간 역대 성수기 중 최다인 일평균 23만1000명의 여객이 인천공항을 이용했다고 19일 밝혔다.

이번 설 연휴 기간(2월 13~18일) 총 여객은 138만6057명, 일평균 여객은 23만1010명으로, 일평균 기준으로 역대 명절(설, 추석) 최다기록과, 역대 성수기(설, 추석, 동·하계 성수기) 최다기록을 각각 경신했다. 

기존 명절 최다실적은 지난해 설연휴(2025.1월 24일~2월 2일)에 기록한 21만9026명으로 올해는 이보다 약 5.5% 증가했다. 2025년 하계 성수기(2025.7월 25일~8월 10일) 실적인 일평균 21만 7831명 대비해서는 약 6.1% 증가했다.

일일 여객실적의 경우 13일 24만2188명을 기록해 기존 최다실적인 올해 1월 4일의 23만9704명 기록을 경신한 데 이어, 다음날인 14일에는 이보다 증가한 24만7104명을 기록하며 하루 전 경신한 역대 최고기록을 또 한번 경신했다. 

인천공항 개항(2001년 3월 29일) 이후 일일 여객이 24만명을 상회한 것은 이번이 처음이다. 

이번 연휴 중 전체여객과 출발여객이 가장 많은 날은 14일(24만 7104명, 출발 13만1215명), 도착여객이 가장 많은 날은 18일(12만2778명)이었다. 

지역별 전체 여객실적(국제선)은 △동남아(39만667명, 28.4%) △일본(38만8018명, 28.2%) △중국(20만6369명, 15.0%) △동북아(13만7671명, 10.0%) △미주(10만4346명, 7.6%) △유럽(7만1863명, 5.2%) △대양주(5만230명, 3.6%) △중동(2만791명, 1.5%) △기타(7486, 0.5%) 순이었다.

설연휴 기간 항공기 운항은 총 7419편, 일평균 1237편을 기록했으며, 13일 운항편은 1284편을 기록해 인천공항 개항이후 역대 최다 운항실적을 경신했다.

공사는 △내국인 중심의 일본 노선 여객 증가 △한·중간 무비자 입국 허용 등에 따른 중국 노선 여객 증가 등을 이번 연휴 항공운송실적 증가의 원인으로 분석하고 있다.
