[,브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 박형준 부산시장이 더불어민주당의 시정 비판과 관련해 “근거 없는 정치 공세”라며 강하게 반박하고 나섰다. 박 시장은 민주당을 향해 “거짓 프레임으로 여론을 호도하고 있다”고 주장하며, 지난 4년 8개월간의 시정 성과를 객관적 수치로 제시했다.

박 시장은 페이스북을 통해 “민주당은 여론이 불리해지면, 멀쩡한 사람에게 덮어씌우기 선동하는 DNA가 남다른 정당”이라며 “1억 공천헌금 사건이 타격이 컸는지, 지방 선거가 다가오니 온갖 거짓 프레임으로 여론을 호도한다”고 반박했다.

이어 민주당 조승래 사무총장의 발언을 언급하며 “조승래 사무총장은 오세훈시장과 저를 작은 일도 안한 사람이라 싸잡아 비난했다”며 “근거도 없고, 밑도끝도 없는 비난”이라고 퇴박했다.

박 시장은 “제가 시정을 맡은지 4년 8개월이 되었다”며 “그 전 민주당 시정과 얼마나 달라졌는지 객관적 수치와 근거로 말씀드리겠다”고 했다. 이어 그는 투자유치 성과에 대해 “민주당 시정이던 2020년 3000억원에 불과하던 투자유치가 2025년에만 8조원을 넘겨 25배 이상 늘었다”고 밝혔다.

고용 지표와 관련해서는 “고용율은 63%에서 68.5%로 5.5% 늘었고, 실업율은 2020년 3.7%에서 2025년 2% 내외로 줄어 특광역시 최상위 수준”이라고 설명했다. 관광 분야에 대해서도 “해외 관광객은 역대 최고보다 20% 이상 증가해 350만을 돌파했다”고 강조했다.

국제 평가 성과도 언급했다. 박 시장은 “세계스마트도시 순위에서는 민주당일 때 62위에서 올해 8위까지 올라갔고, 이코노미스트 부설기관의 삶의 질 지수에서는 아시아 10위권대에서 6위로 올랐다”며 “세계금융도시순위는 36위에서 24위까지 상승했다”고 말했다.

주요 현안 사업과 관련해서는 “민주당 시정에서 풀지 못했던 금정산 국립공원 지정, 낙동 3개 대교 착공, 요트경기장 재개발을 모두 성사시켰다”고 밝혔다. 이어 “그린벨트 500만 평을 15년 만에 풀었고, 부산시민공원의 27배 이상의 도시공원을 조성했으며, 전국 특광역시 대기질 1위 도시가 되도록 정책을 펴왔다”고 덧붙였다.

박 시장은 “아동 삶의 질 1위, 청년 삶의 질 1위, 시민 삶의 질 1위 평가를 연달아 받았다”면서도 “아직도 이루지 못한 두 가지가 있다”고 밝혔다. 그는 “바로 한국산업은행 부산 이전과 글로벌 허브도시 특별법 제정”이라며 “이 두 가지는 국회의 문턱을 넘어야 하는 일들로, 모두 민주당이 발목 잡아 이루지 못하고 있는 숙원사업”이라고비판했다.

이어 “글로벌 해양허브를 만드는 데 가장 중요한 이 두 가지 일이 다름 아닌 민주당 때문에 못하고 있는데, 조승래 의원은 부산시민에게 미안하지도 부끄럽지도 않느냐”고 반문했다. 박 시장은 “부산을 해양수도로 만드는 일이 표 계산이 아니라 국가 발전을 위한 정책임을 보여주려면 산업은행법 개정안과 글로벌허브도시 특별법부터 민주당이 협조해 국회 통과를 시켜야 한다”고 촉구했다.

끝으로 박 시장은 민주당 공천 문제를 거론하며 “최근 민주당 공천이 얼마나 막장 공천인지를 보여주는 일이 연이어 터지고 있다”며 “국민들은 민주당의 실체를 또 한 번 보고 있다”고 꼬집었다. 그는 “깨끗한 척하면서 뒤로는 별 짓을 다하는 이른바 진보의 위선이 적나라하게 드러나고 있다”며 “거짓 프레임으로 표 구걸이나 하지 말고 자기 얼굴부터 제대로 씻기 바란다”고 퇴박했다.

Busan Mayor Park Hyung-joon strongly pushed back against criticism from the Democratic Party of Korea (DPK), arguing that the party’s attacks amount to “groundless political offensives.” In a Facebook post, Mayor Park claimed that the DPK is “misleading public opinion with false frames,” while presenting what he described as objective numerical evidence of his administration’s achievements over the past four years and eight months.

In the post, Mayor Park stated, “When public opinion turns against them, the Democratic Party shows a unique DNA for inciting blame and pinning it on innocent people,” adding, “Perhaps shaken by the 100 million won nomination bribery scandal, they are now distorting public opinion with all kinds of false frames as local elections approach.”

Referring to remarks by DPK Secretary-General Cho Seung-rae, Park said, “Secretary-General Cho lumped together Mayor Oh Se-hoon and myself, accusing us of having done nothing at all,” and countered that “these are baseless and unfounded accusations.”

Mayor Park emphasized, “It has been four years and eight months since I took office,” and added, “I will explain, with objective figures and evidence, how different my administration is from the previous Democratic Party-led city government.” Regarding investment attraction, he said, “In 2020, under the Democratic Party administration, investment stood at only 300 billion won, but in 2025 alone it exceeded 8 trillion won—an increase of more than 25 times.”

On employment indicators, Park stated, “The employment rate rose from 63 percent to 68.5 percent, an increase of 5.5 percentage points, while the unemployment rate fell from 3.7 percent in 2020 to around 2 percent in 2025, placing Busan at the top level among metropolitan cities.” He also said, “The number of foreign tourists increased by more than 20 percent compared to the previous all-time high, surpassing 3.5 million.”

Mayor Park further highlighted international evaluations, saying, “Busan’s global smart city ranking climbed from 62nd during the Democratic Party administration to 8th this year,” and “in the quality-of-life index by an affiliate of *The Economist*, Busan rose from the top 10 range in Asia to 6th place.” He added that “Busan’s ranking in the Global Financial Centres Index improved from 36th to 24th.”

Regarding long-pending projects, Park said, “We successfully resolved issues that the Democratic Party administration failed to address, including the designation of Mt. Geumjeong as a national park, the groundbreaking of three bridges over the Nakdong River, and the redevelopment of the yacht marina.” He added, “We lifted development restrictions on five million pyeong of greenbelt land for the first time in 15 years, created urban parks more than 27 times the size of Busan Citizens Park, and implemented policies that made Busan the top-ranked metropolitan city in air quality nationwide.”

He also noted, “Busan has consecutively received first-place evaluations for children’s quality of life, youth quality of life, and overall citizens’ quality of life.” However, he acknowledged that “there are still two things we have not yet achieved,” identifying them as “the relocation of the Korea Development Bank to Busan and the enactment of the Global Hub City Special Act.”

Mayor Park said, “These two tasks must pass the National Assembly, and they are long-cherished projects that have been blocked entirely by the Democratic Party.” He continued, “The most critical elements in building a global maritime hub have been stalled because of the Democratic Party—doesn’t Assemblyman Cho Seung-rae feel any apology or shame toward the citizens of Busan?”

Park urged cooperation, stating, “If the Democratic Party truly wants to show that making Busan a maritime capital is a matter of national development rather than vote calculations, it should first cooperate in passing the amendment to the Korea Development Bank Act and the Global Hub City Special Act through the National Assembly.”

In closing, Mayor Park criticized the DPK’s nomination process, saying, “Recent incidents have repeatedly exposed just how disastrous the Democratic Party’s nominations have been,” adding, “The public is once again seeing the true nature of the Democratic Party.” He concluded, “At a time when the hypocrisy of so-called progressives—who pretend to be clean while engaging in all kinds of behavior behind the scenes—is being laid bare, they should stop begging for votes with false frames and start by washing their own faces first.”
