[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 나경원 국민의힘 의원이 “이재명 정부가 미국으로부터 완전히 신뢰를 잃었다”라며 "미국의 외교적 신호를 보면 그 원인을 알 수 있다”고 직격했다

 

나 의원은 8일 자신의 SNS를 통해 “첫째는 종교 탄압"이라며 "지난해 8월 첫 한미 정상회담에서 트럼프 대통령이 종교 자유 문제를 공개 제기했음에도 불구하고, 손현보 목사 구속 수사와 교회 폐쇄, 민법 개정까지 추진하고 있다”고 주장했다.  

 

“쿠팡 문제 통상 갈등으로 비화”

나 의원은 이어 “둘째는 쿠팡에 대한 정치적 드잡이”라고 지목했다.  

 

그는 “이재명 정부의 쿠팡 공격은 쿠팡 노조의 민주노총 탈퇴, 새벽배송 금지, 퇴직금 사건을 빌미로 한 것으로, 이는 엄희준 대장동 수사검사에 대한 여권의 압박과도 연결돼 있다”며 “이 문제는 미국과의 통상 쟁점으로 비화됐다”고 밝혔다.  

 

나 의원은 “셋째는 중국과의 과도한 밀착”이라며 “대만 문제를 중국 내정으로 규정한 셰셰 발언, ‘하나의 중국’을 재확인한 중국 매체 인터뷰 등으로 미국이 우려를 표하고 있다”고 말했다. 

 

그는 “결국 미국의 신국방전략에서 ‘핵우산’ 표현이 제외됐고, 핵잠수함 추진 문제도 미국 조야의 반대가 노골화되고 있다”고 덧붙였다.  

 

“관세 인상·안보 리스크 경고”

나 의원은 “미국은 한국산 제품의 관세를 15%에서 25%로 인상하는 문안을 연방 관보에 게재하기 위한 절차를 진행 중”이라며 “한국 수출 기업의 부담이 급증하고 국내 제조업과 고용에도 직접적 타격이 불가피하다는 경고가 이어지고 있다”고 전했다.  

 

“SNS 정치 멈추고 국익 회복해야”

나 의원은 “이재명 대통령은 한밤중에 SNS 정치할 시간이 있다면 국익을 위한 신뢰 회복에 나서야 한다”며 “종교탄압을 즉시 중단하고 기독교를 향한 편향적 정책을 멈춰야 한다”고 촉구했다.  

 

또 “쿠팡 문제 또한 합당한 법 집행과 공정한 규제만 남기고 정치보복과 과도한 여론몰이는 즉시 중단해야 한다”고 요구했다.  

 

나 의원은 “지금은 국익의 위기이자 안보의 위기”라며 “자유와 신뢰를 회복하는 것이 곧 국익을 지키는 길”이라고 강조했다.  

 

[Here’s the English version of the article]  Lee Jae-myung’s Government Has Completely Lost U.S. Trust, Rep. Na Kyung-won Says — “Religious Crackdown, Pressure on Coupang, and Pro-China Stance Are to Blame”

 

Rep. Na Kyung-won of the People Power Party criticized President Lee Jae-myung’s administration, claiming it has “completely lost the trust of the United States” and that “diplomatic signals from Washington show why.”  

 

In a social media post on Feb. 8, Na wrote, “The first reason is religious persecution.” She said, “Despite former President Trump raising the issue of religious freedom during the first Korea-U.S. summit last August, the government continues to push investigations and imprisonment of Pastor Son Hyun-bo, church shutdowns, and even amendments to the civil code.”  

 

She continued, “Although former President Trump publicly raised concerns over religious freedom during the first Korea–U.S. summit last August, the Lee government went on with the arrest of Pastor Son Hyun-bo, administrative closures of churches, and even amendments to the Civil Code.”  

 

Coupang dispute escalating into trade tension  

Na described “the second issue as the political assault on Coupang,” saying, “The Lee administration’s attacks on Coupang began after its labor union left the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions, followed by restrictions on early-morning deliveries and disputes over severance pay.”  

She added, “This has effectively spilled over into a trade dispute with the United States and is linked to political pressure surrounding prosecutor Um Hee-jun, who investigated the Daejang-dong case.”  

 

Pro-China tilt raising concern in Washington  

Na continued, “The third issue is excessive alignment with China.”  

She cited Lee’s comment that “the Taiwan matter is an internal affair of China” and his reaffirmation of the “One China” policy during an interview with a Chinese media outlet. “These moves have prompted concern among U.S. policymakers,” she noted.  

Na added, “The removal of the term ‘nuclear umbrella’ from the new U.S. defense strategy and growing opposition in Washington to nuclear submarine cooperation show that warning lights are flashing in the alliance.”  

 

Tariff hikes and economic warnings  

Na said, “The United States is proceeding with a plan to increase tariffs on Korean-made products from 15% to 25% by registering the measure in the Federal Register.”  

She warned, “Korean exporters will shoulder heavier burdens, and domestic manufacturing and employment will inevitably suffer direct damage.”  

 

Calls for President Lee to restore trust  

Na urged, “If President Lee has time for late-night social media politics, he should instead work to restore trust for the sake of the national interest.”  

She said, “The government must immediately end religious suppression and stop its biased policies toward Christianity.”  

 

Na added, “Regarding Coupang as well, only fair law enforcement and neutral regulation should remain—political retribution and excessive public pressure must stop at once.”  

She concluded, “This is a crisis of national interest and security. Restoring freedom and trust is the only way to protect the Republic of Korea.”
